The CIA-Backed rebels were lead by the George Soros Rockefeller Rothchilds cartel under Hillary Clinton's leadership and killed Gaddafi, and he could could have liberated all of Africa and destroyed America! Finally someone made a video about, Gaddaffi was not an inocent ruler, yes Libya did had the highest GDP per Capita, and HDI in Africa, but it was mostly due the fact it was an Oil rich country that could afford those social investment programs. Yes, Gaddaffi did build massive housing complexes, hospitals, universities, etc... but at the same time and despite the massive budget that Libya enjoyed, the country still lacked a railway system, the country was not industrialized (aside from Oil refineries), the artificial river project was still in construction after 25+ years, Gaddaffi officials were as corrupt as any other arab nation. Not to mention massive fortune Gaddaffi amassed for himself made from public funds and investments, Gaddaffi sons maintained a monopoly on industries (Seif in oil, Mutassim in comunications, Mohammed in beverages, Aisha in textiles), etc... Gaddaffi clan and officials spent the country money on luxuries in London, Paris, Geneva, the Riviera, etc... instead of investing in the country tourism sector. Maybe if Gaddaffi would had invested in modernizing the country obsolete Air Force instead of remodelating its seven!! palaces constatntly, maybe he could have had somenting to answer NATO when they toppled its regime. Or maybe intead of spending money finnancing terrorism worldwide, he could have invested some of their surplus in some of the poorer "fellow arab brothers" like Yemen, or Sudan, or Mauritania. Unlike Emirates, or Qatar, no one remembers Libya for a infaestructure projects, or skyscrapers... This doesn't meant htat what NATO did was right, NATO after toppling Gaddaffi goverment should have stayed and help rebuild the country either into a democratic society (as they said the wanted), ora constitutional monarchy bases on Idris sons. They also must have the responsabililty to reinvest in Libya the money that Gaddafi stole and put in Western Banks. Up to 48 billion USD dollar were stolen by western goverments. Mybe those 70 billion (using inflation) could help rebuild Libya today.

Restoring Libyan monarchy is unnecessary. NATO should have rebuild it instead as an republic kinda similar to the Afghanistan model.

I honestly don't really have very many more words to say cause of the nature of this frankly, just extremely concerned and worried for -Ukrainians- Libyans right now."

I can’t believe I’ve come across something so based covering Gaddafi on RU-vid! Usually it’s just, “He was a hero! He was totally about to overthrow the American, western, imperialist, capitalist, blah blah, order and unite all of Africa! Glory to our innocent revolutionary Comrade! AAHHH, Blablabla,” etc.

I respectfully disagree with this video, (also I’m a leftist so don’t accuse me of being a nazi) Gaddafi certainly wasn’t perfect and I absolutely won’t defend his awful anti-semitism, but from my perspective Gaddafi’s legacy is more positive than negative. Libyas government was far more efficient than you give it credit for, being the only country in Africa with a positive human development score from the U.N. He successfully nationalized Libyas oil recourses and used it’s massive profits to drastically improve the lives of the Libyan people. his support for revolution abroad can still be felt today by warriors fighting for a better world. There’s a reason Nelson Mandela called him a comrade in arms. There’s just a lot of nuance left out here in this video.

Ight i'll bite. So the primary reason why I have issues with Gaddafi and his rule is that he hunted down, imprisoned and killed anybody in his country that dared defy his regime. It was a top-down military dictatorship that used oil money to improve society at the cost of being one of Africa's most totalitarian regime. His socialist, Pan-Africanist and Pan-Arabist ideals were smokescreens for his hunger for power. He was fervent and open racist, and centralized his regime around only three tribal clans (The Qadhadhfa (Where Muammar Gaddafi and his family hails from), Werfella and Magarha Tribes), Cyrenaica was looked down upon by Gaddafi cause Tripoli and Benghazi were (and still are) rival trading cities and the region was viewed as Pro-Monarchist. The Toubou were stripped of citizenship because he called them 'Chadians' (He despised Black People) and the Amazigh were forbidden from speaking their own languages in public. So the only citizens that ever truly had prosperity and free from the constrants of his regime were people who were Arab and constantly praised Gaddafi (and if they didn't they would be massacred for opposing or critiquing his regime), not a great look for the country with a high HDI. Do you know who else in Africa has a high HDI and isn't a totalitarian dictatorship subservient to a egotistical and racist man? Botswana, which had also supported Nelson Mandela and gave sanctuary to the ANC and has had a stable democratic government for decades without forcing it's people into submission. Hence why despite any 'good' Muammar Gaddafi ever did I honestly believe is faaaarrrr overshadowed by the very many evils he had done, and the victims of his regime don't deserve to be called 'CIA-backed evildoers' by tankies, leftists and Pan-Africanists especially who know nothing or don't care to know the monstrous atrocities he did, and it's disgusting to see people continuing to defend him like that.
