In a world where time is money, it's hard to take your time to theorize and study to improve your mind's eye to see how the chart works with your waveforms and make the right call. Watching and listening to y'all help us all become better. Thank you!
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics your very welcome. Now as things are going like they are, maybe care and understanding will make a come back. It would be nice for the world to slow down and take the time to grow mentally with financial being the result of hard work and dedication to become better than we were. Thanks again
Hi Mario! Your pronunciation is spot on mate. Excellent explanation great video your best I recon!! Every day is school in this trade. This was definitely an odd one, I'll keep an eye out for this engine, I tend to see quite a few of this. Cheers for looking at it. Top man!
Bro! BEAST! Love the video! Thoroughly explained how to use a piston chart, CLEARLY! Appreciate it brother! & Great case study! Tons of variables when performing intake pulse testing! (IMO) it’s always helpful when someone breaks it down. Thanks for sharing with us!
ALWAYS interesting and informative. I purchased the overlay, as described in in of your earlier videos. It is a great help in seeing the entire engine operation. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a ton Mario. My heads still swimming a little in this diag. But my pressure transducers are on their way here this week. With some practical experience I’m confident it’ll start making more sense.
Another awesome video! Crushed the explanation! Your videos are the reason I can’t actually understand those charts now! Thanks brotha... one day I’ll hopefully have the eye for this stuff like you do haha
yes, your right ,turbos are on everything nearly in Australia. I guess because the prise of fuel is a lot higher over here. displacement out turbo,s in.
This was an awesome video Mario, the piston chart explained was VERY HELPFUL THANKS FOR THIS! Fascinating case study, you explain everything so well; it's great to hear your in depth analysis on it!
Would adding an exhaust pulse channel help here? To monitor cranking amps, intake and exhaust pulses at the same time? Or does that just make it too confusing? I figure in this case you would see the exhaust pulse actually be low when the exhaust pressure is leaking backwards into the bad cylinder. Although, you'd have to make sure to install the sensor before the turbo/restriction.
That would make it more work than the scope is meant to save. If installed at the tailpipe, i believe it would show a weak exhaust pulse for number 1. But a pressure spike as the suspect cylinder is compressing
Honestly, i looped video about 20x at ~15:00 to visualize your theory -- got it. EDIT: if the #4 intake valve was leaking, the pulse would have been in the 270°-360° neighborhood???
I have the chart for the "first look" vacuum/pressure transducer and have to admit I just don't do much with it. I just bought the overlay program and pretty sure my first look vacuum transducer is gonna get the dust knocked off. I don't know about everybody else, but when's the last time you spent twenty bucks and got this much value?
How can master Mary find the point where the exhaust valve of cylinder pressure waveform closes and the intake valve opens? Thank you. It's not easy. I can't see. Please advise me
Thanks for the explanation good information . Mario did you have any issues with opening the Tdc2 file when extracting it initial what app/program you using it on probably a silly question . Stay safe
Have you captured comp, intake and exhaust waveforms on TSI/GDI engines with coked up intake valves and runners? They can be really hard to decipher sometimes lol
Hey Buddy, The Video and information was OK (lol) but I need to know where I can obtain one of those stickers that was on your Laptop about Training Doesn't Cost, It pays 🤪
Hi Mario, thats great stuff. Have you used the Escope before? i know Escope has that piston feature. I'm planning to buy a new scope. Do you prefer Pico scope or the Escope from ATS ? I know Bernie Thompson has great equipment like the Escope and the Escan. Let me know which one you prefer & why . Thanks Mario.
Hi Mario , a little help here plz I've purchased the TDC2 via PayPal from the driveability guys but I didn't receive any mail with the link , and there is no any email on the website for support ! , does it take time for receiving the mail ! Plz if you can help just guide me , as I decided to buy it after watching your videos Thanks !
Mario hi. My name is Raul. I have a question and wondering if you can help me. my wife's truck.(97 Oldsmobile bravada 4foor v6. No Crank no start no lights at all on the dash. New battery new starter new plugs and wires alternator is good. I check all fuses. They're all good. New ignition switch. And ignition switch harnnest. What do you think it is?? we need that all truck real bad is all we have I know is all but is all we have. Can you pls help us. I'm a new subscriber to you. Have a great day. Stay SAFE 🙏. God bless you 🙏.
Nothing works at all? How do you know the alternator is good if it's not running? Did you test these things before replacing parts? The starter is it missing power or ground?
No that's not how it works. They can't test it there on a bench. Test, stop guessing. TEST! Stop throwing parts at the car. What are you missing, power or ground? That will lead you to your answer
I find it hard to believe since they would need to spin it at the rpm your vehicle spins it at and have a device to check amperage and ripple. They'd have to send it back to the manufacturer for bench testing
Can u explain all that in Spanish😂😂 I don't want to miss nothing.. that chart is so complicated to me is a big challenge understand all that in a different language.. I'm a part of ur Latin crew😂👍
