What I don't understand is why they don't have a default sound suggestion. My old phone had it. If I get a message from Facebook or SnapChat I want it to be that specific sound. Now it's all the same.
Great tips for custom ringtone. I use Zedge and download the tones I want, manage them with Ringtone Maker (cut, increase/decrease volume, etc..), then when I save them (either as a notification sound or a ringtone), they automatically appear as selectable in the notification and ringtone settings. But your way might be easier (maybe)! 😁
Been doing the same for years. And thank goodness, the smart switch app moves them to each new phone. Do have to reestablish the custom ringtones I have for my contacts with each new phone.
Great vid, thank you so much. Can you link that vid about setting up notifications for each app that you mentioned at the end of the vid, that would be awesome cause I can't find it.
What I am missing is custom ring tones for individuals in my contacts list. I miss knowing while my phone is still in my pocket if it is my wife, or my son, or my brother, etc, rather than some random person who can leave a message if they think I’d want to talk to them. I’ve used this feature for ages. It still works on my wife’s S23, but not on my S24.
I don't know how to get audio files... I want to save the music into my phone and mess with it from there but I can't find a single video to show me how...
I have a new s24 ultra and I am trying to use the same custom ringtone that I used on my galazy S10 but the s24 keeps giving me an error and says the file type is not supported after I move the file to the ringtone folder. Any ideas? It looks like a wma file.
@jspring86 Hi Jeff, thanks for your great channel and info. How did you get the blue colored keyboard on you S24 Ultra? Goodlock or from within the phone's settings? Thanks!
Alternatively just hook up the phone to a windows laptop and drag and drop. When you hook it up the phone becomes a drive basically........you can see all the folders and even create new ones. I don't think Samsung can change that....that's the way android works. How do you think I move 15GB of music on all my new phones?
Wheb it cone swoth custom ringtones, i would like to see if samsung lets us generate the vibration patterns to sync with our custom ringtones. I like the Vibration pattern as sync with ringtone, but with sync with notification helps to know which app I'm getting notifications from.
I just want to take a moment to add my voice to the chorus of people giving you kudos for this video. It was very useful. All stuff and no fluff as Mr. Sujano says. IRT the "Cha-Ching" sound; I have it on both of my phones, a newer Galaxy A and an LG V35. For anyone else following along at home with Jeff's instructions and are wondering how that random notification sound got on your phone, I'm pretty sure it comes with the eBay app.
No disrespect thanks for the help and all but when I do the Google drive thing like I get like a song from youtube download it send it to my Google drive thing and the rest but when I moved the ringtone to the my files I typed ringtone finished it then I went to my sounds and vibration and it was not there can you tell me what i did wrong????
Hey Jeff, my friend gave me an old Samsung A51 with an Exenos CPU that his child used to play with, the phone is locked and he doesn't remember what Google account was registered on it. I already tried all the ways and methods on the net and RU-vid, and nothing worked, I think that because it is on the last software update "Android 13 - UI 5.1". Is there any way you can help with so I can reuse this phone insted of my Samsung Note 3?
Apple buries auto brightness nearly as deep in settings in iOS as this is buried. I'd argue auto brightness is a more basic feature so not sure what you mean.
