When you showed your skin up close, outgrown hair, incrown hair and skin hyperpigmentation, I felt less insecure about mine. I always thought only I was imperfect but I am normal
This is a benefit of sugaring. Atleast for me it is. I go to a salon to get it done, but my hair is less coarse and it makes the process less painful as well after a while cause the hairs are thin and easy to pull out. Gonna try again to do it myself soon and gonna start with strips because that flicking method, I tried getting it but I just can't get the hang of it. I might try using the spatula flicking method you showed, seemes nice and handy and I feel like I might be able to pull with purpose which is difficult for me to do with a strip or my hands.
I know it wasn’t the intended action- but showing the hair, follicles, and different stages/“issues” on your hair and skin REALLY helped me understand dermatology for my nursing school courses. As well as help me understand my own skin/hair. Thank you!!! I know people shame anything that isn’t photoshop- but showing natural human body things is sooooo beneficial 💖💖💖 Thank you for helping nurses!!
I was going to post the same thing! You are very knowledgable and generous in sharing. So so informative. Thank you for your time and the details in your videos. I have shared with all the women in my family.
I like how you went over every step w an explanation and actually showed us the area you were going to wax and it had hair! Other RU-vidrs wax hairless skin lol
WOW WOW WOW! Can this be #1 one on trending! More people need to appreciate the detail in this video! Also the dedication of you letting your hair grow out that long is great, I’m here to tell you I appreciate every strand of hair that you grew out for his video 😂
Girl I just successfully for the first time waxed my legs, upper lip, toes and tummy. You are amazing, bye bye razors! Next up arm pits , eyebrows, chin and Brazilian 🥳🥳🙌🙌👏👏
I’m a esthetician but they didn’t teach us the sugaring technique 😩. I’ve been trying to figure out some new services to offer. Whew you’re so informative! New sub, thank you 💙💙💙
You’re like a big sister I never had. Growing up I was soo angry that I wasn’t taught how to do these thing all they would say is no no no with no reason. And because of that I ruined myself. But thanks to your channel I’m soo happy that I can finally remove unwanted body hair soo easily and with out spending soo much. Thank you soo much! 😊
I don't even tell the doctor because it's useless. :S i have very light skin tone and very dark coarse hair so it is usually evident. I also have some ingrown hair and use a syringe needle to remove them (sadistic maybe) because they get gigantic and NEVER get out on their own! no matter how much exfoliating I do. It has to be 2:00 just as she says. I am lazy or desperate so I might not do it everysingle time I wax!
I just made soft sugar today! I literally love this series. It is so relaxing to me. Believe it or not, I look forward to wax day. Can you do a sugar series on sugaring specific parts of the body and talk more about your wax schedule, etc? Thank you for this series. you're helping so many people!
The dedication to detail in this video is amazing. As an esthetician this made me very happy because the more info that is available the better !! Love it
Wow. This is the most in depth tutorial on sugar waxing I've found. I was literally just about to make a batch after watching a video prior to this one, but had the sudden urge to search one more time. Glad I followed my intuition! Thank you, subscribed ♡
not only was this amazingly informative, but your editing is so great!! i love your channel for just learning new self care things! keep up the good work!
This is literally the BEST video on waxing! Good job! This was informative and accurate by actually showing your audience what waxing is like with pictures and how to care for your skin
This video series is a game changer- I’ve been sugar waxing for years and I wish I had your video sooner... so many hours trying to get the wax just right, and finding it difficult to get answers when something doesn’t work out consistently. Thank you!!!
Been doing this for about half a year, and noticed so many improvements (softer skin, less itchy, less ingrown hairs, REDUCED WASTE) except for my chicken skin... I decide to revisit and it's one of the first things you talk about, thank you! This was a good reminder in general, I was starting to get a little willy-nilly with my waxing. You are so good at what you do, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Wow I didn't know people could have "strawberry legs" I had never seen that before. I don't feel like I can notice this on other people so don't worry about it too much girlies it's what makes us all unique we have different little things that set us apart
I got so insecure as a 13 year old when I had a teacher try to "pinch/pull" at what she taught were stockings, but it was my strawberry legs :( since that time, I got obsessed to find a way to get rid of it.. Thought I was alone with this 😭
Any guys here trying to learn how to do this? Be supportive of your kings. Look at all these Queens being supportive. I love this. Show someone some love today.
I've been suffering from KP for as long as I can remember, and I'm so glad that I finally decided to research it. This video is one of the best, with respect to proper treatment of KP! Much love from India!
Thank you so much for showing every tiny detail on this process, I mean, it seems like one of the cheapest ways to get rid of body hair today but I believe many of us have given up not knowing how to do it properly! 💓❤️
This was the most concise and clear how to video on anything I have ever seen. You got right to the point, edited down to the most necessary shots with graphics and examples of what you were talking about. You’re a natural teacher. Honestly, you could probably teach me rocket science. Thank you for this.
Thank you thank you thank you!! I’ve been getting sugared for so many years that I’ve decided to start doing it myself over the last few months and this made things so clear and answered so many questions I have of why it sometimes doesn’t work. This is the most helpful thing I’ve come across by far, I appreciate you taking the time to make this video SO much. And I have dry dry skin and am prone to ingrown hairs and this just instilled a lot of confidence in me that there’s nothing wrong with my skin/hair and that sugaring will still work on me. You’re the best!!!
Girl......girl....girl....you deserve many more subscribers. Many people follow many other RU-vidrs whoses recipes never ever work. I was watching all your videos past 2 days honestly just laughed and left. But today gave it a try since I do that have $$ to spend right now. I followed everything you said and did exactly like you did. And wowwww it worked all hair is gone. Oooohooo. Can't thank you enough 😘..stay blessed
Your previous videos on sugar wax helped me a lot specially when you told the actual reason for ingrown hairs and literally It just made my life much easier bcz I had the same situation on my leg & underarms after a few days of waxing and it pains & itch like hell but now this time I exfoliated my skin and did my wax as u told now I'm in much ease thanks for this great great help :) love
EXTREMELY informative, especially with regard to the keratosis pilaris. I never knew what the heck it was. I still don't know if I'm gangster enough to sugar myself but with current events, I might have to suck it up. Thanks for this great vid!
I made sugar wax and tried for the third time with your methods and it worked! I’m so happy. I gave myself a Brazilian. Never waxed before, so the pain was p severe but worth it lol
Tip from experience: Make sure the room you’re doing this in isn’t hot/humid . Especially during summer. The room temp, plus your body temperature will effect the consistency of the sugar ball. AC is best to avoid a melty mess & get a better grip 😬🙂
Nah it's genetic. I think something like 20% of people have it, usually mild cases only appear on the underside of the arms (tricep area). It's extra buildup of keratin at the hair follicles causing small bumps or red spots on the skin.
I love your articulate, demonstrative, seamless lesson with everything you would need to know about sugaring. As a novice dreading a supermarket run I'm delighted to just head to the kitchen instead!
I bought an at home kit to sugar and it came with popsicle sticks and waxing sheets and I didn’t know how to use them , so this video officially saved my life, wish me luck girlies
THANK YOU you don't know how much time I spent looking at tutorials made by people who only did this once or twice and have no idea what they're talking about
@@abetweene okay so now I'm recommending your channel to my friends. I do have a minor troubleshooting question that I didn't see you cover but I apologize if you did and I missed it: I followed a recipe that I think involves slightly too much liquid, so my sugar isn't getting to the hardball stage that I am familiar with and it isn't really working, it just kind of stretches instead of actually grabbing on. Do you know if there's any reason I can't simply add slightly more sugar and bring it all to temp? I do have a candy thermometer.
Cloth strips are the way to go! Especially on larger areas, my thighs are done in one min each, no joke. II always cut old fabrics (never cotton tho, they stretch a lot) I never use powder, never had, and always such a painless result. Been doing this for 10 years now.
I had no idea about strawberry skin. I always felt bad about it and scratched my legs before waxing. My skin is pretty fair and these little trapped hairs look so weird. Thank you so much for the informative video, I feel enlightened. :D
Its been very tough being able to get waxed at a salon for me nowadays so these videos are the best! thank you Cant wait to see if you put up a vide for Brazilian waxing
I usually do my own Brazilian with hard wax but it never agrees with my legs so I usually shave those. I thought I’d try sugar wax on my legs so I just made some using your videos to guide me for the first time and it came out fab! Cut up an old pillow case for strips and I cannot believe how cheap and painless I can wax for! Definitely converted! Any mess just dissolves in water, the strips can be pressed and reused and go a lot further than the hard wax. Once my waxing beads have ran out I won’t be buying anymore! Thank you so much 😊
I recently purchased premade sugar wax and their tutorial wasn't helpful at all, but THIS one helped me sooooo much more. I feel much more confident about it and I feel great about the fact that I could just make this at home.
This was so well explained, thank you. Looking to use less plastic and didn’t want to buy a waxing kit but this video was more informative than I expected ❤️
Ey ppls, i am training to do sugaring right now. Let me warn you, It's not as easy as it looks 😂 I will finally start very soon, i have 1 person who is willing to let me practice on them :) (I mean someone who isn't my trainer Nor my sister)
Thank you so much! Shaving has always been uncomfortable for me, and sugar waxing seemed more and more appealing by the day. Your video really helped convince me to try it, it has been the best decision of my life (slight over exaggeration but who doesn’t love those?).
Girl!!! I have THE SAME skin problem(s)! This video is awesome & you’ve not only made me less anxious about sugaring but LEGIT EXCITED!!! 🤗🥰❤️ God bless you!
Your voice is so relaxing that I started falling asleep like halfway through. I decided to just start the video over and get comfortable. I took a good nap lol. Your voice is sooo sooothingg!!
Absolutely love your channel! So informative and I love that you talk about the problems that anyone can come across. Only after watching your videos sugaring actually worked for me. Thank you so much! No more spending fortune on hard was beans 😄💗 Please make some more natural skin care videos 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@ally.4444 I tried it today. I am naturally hairy, and when I saw the video, I was so happy I got myself a solution to finally eradicate the hair on my legs and hand. Jeez, 1 min to wax, I couldn't keep up. It hurts so bad. Had to stop. Few hours after, my skin still hurt. How do y'all do it without feeling pain?
This was so beautifully done and expertly executed 👏 single-handedly the best video I've seen on this subject! You included all of the information I could have possibly needed, THANK YOU!!! 💕 I'm off to check out the other videos you linked in the description box to learn more 😁 so glad I found your channel, I'm a big DIY skincare kind of girl!!
HOLY CRAP I did not even know there was such a thing as KP lol I always thought those dark marks and ingrown hairs was just because I have super thick course hair haha cheers for that!
For KP there are so many lotions and body washes you can use to help cure it. Lotions: Ameliorate Amlactin Glycolix Donell 20 aha Glytone Alpha lotion Touch lotion Body washes: Touch KP exfoliating body wash Glytone exfoliating body wash Use a very coarse exfoliating mitt and warm water. You can also use body peels like StackedSkincare bidy peel. Hope this helps.
this helped 100%. i start in person school on tuesday, and i REFUSE to show up with bushy eyebrows (since with the mask, your eyes are the thing people are paying most attention to.) i did this the exact way you showed in this video, and in your how to make the sugaring wax video, and it all worked out great. thanks so much!
I have never commented on a video before but felt I had to here: since I found your videos my sugaring game is on another level! Thank you for the best explanations and vid production out there! You rock
thank you so much for this video! not only is the sugar wax info super valuable, but i actually feel a bit more positive about my strawberry legs / skin in general because you felt comfortable enough to show yours
GIRL THANK YOU ! I tried sugar waxing once many moons ago and I think I just gave up, it worked but just not well enough. I think that's the thing - you just can't give up! You have to get good at it! anyway ur an angel and SO GOOD at explaining things. If you have another hustle I bet it's something techy/sciency. LOVE the zero waste stuff and LOVE the way you edit ur vids just gorg love u
My problem is that my hands are so so sweaty, so when I try to play with the sugar wax in order to prepare it ,, I'll just ruin it , & it becomes so melty & so sticky in your hands , I don't know what to do
You completely changed my technique of applying sugar in my legs and other areas 😭♥️ i understood why the result of my sugaring wasn't the same as yours , i was applying it with the direction of hair growth just like wax , thought they are the same technique ! next time i do my leg hair i'll do just like you've done , so excited to experience this !! ♥️
This video appeared for me when i searched on sugaring and its really helpful! I heard sugaring is somewhat better than waxing, either way this helps me know what to do when i actually do the sugar wax method ^^ Really helpful !
So glad I found this video and your channel! I also have strawberry legs and tend to avoid any type of hair removal. I exfoliate and still find hairs trapped under the skin months after :/
