I would love to see a guide regarding different approaches in gunfights, covering stuff like angle advantages, how to peek when having angle advantage and how to peek when you are at a disadvantage. When to spray, burst or tap and when to strafe instead of committing. Since I also play Valorant, I always see that there are many very in-depth guides regarding these topics for Valorant, but I have never seen these things seen truly well addressed in a cs2 specific video.
I was one of those who tought pressing both keys is the way to go for counter strafing. Today I played some DM and accidentally counter strafed the right way and I was like "how fast did I just stop?" Right away came to youtube and searched "how to counter strafe" and your video popped up. I'm so pissed, almost 3k hours, 2700 max Faceit elo during on CSGO and I've been counter stafing wrong the whole time. Still leetify says that my avg counter strafing is 88 which is good, but how good can it be. Time to go back to the drawing board and learn the right way! Thanks for good video!
so it is still available to get 2k+ elo while you counter strafe pressing both XD I don't have such a high level as you but I was also strafing the same way
@@kliost8100 yeah it is xD ofc you really can't be an entry fragger with wrong counter strafing, at least on a high level. But yeah, my gameplay has elevated a lot since that, I can be much more aggressive now.
This video explain it so much better than any others, i wasn't understanding why my counter strafe wasn't good but since you showed how and when you press the keys on your keyboard that was so much more understandable ! Thx a lot !
2700 hours into cs and just now realizing tonight (came to this video to confirm my sudden suspicion) that you can't counter strafe by holding both movement keys. years of muscle memory i have now try to override L lmao W video though
great video wilson. a big part of my rank-up troubles was that i didn't know how to make it through a straightaway (like lower tuns or underpass) without only holding w. a tip for people struggling with this as well is to practice w+a and w+d counterstrafing so you can clear those angles more effectively without getting caught off guard
Just want to say thank you for all the guides, tips and etc you have been providing. Also would like to mention that when i came back to CS was earlier in 2023 and I was so bad, hard stuck silver. Then i found your videos, practiced everyday after getting off work. Weekends spent 10-12 hrs jus grinding the game and trying to get better. I finally had the balls and courage to play Premier and those 10 games placed me at 12k rating also this was jus barely on friday. And now im at 14k, been trying to take it slow now because i was on a 22 win streak dropping 20-30 kills per game using every trick you showed me in the book, also I have only been solo queing the entire journey. Then I went up against a 5 stack all at 20k rating, I didnt want to assume they were cheating during the game but after watching the demo it was obvious they were walling.
You bring a friendly vibe to an otherwise fucking hostile community, and I love it. I appreciate you dude, keep making the videos and I'll keep watching them!
Thank you so much man! What I’ve realized is that this community is so much more welcoming and friendly than I thought it was. I was super scared to start making videos because of that negative perception, but people have truly been so kind and supportive. I think we just have a loud minority of toxicity that has become the ‘face’ of our player base. Thanks for the comment:)
@WilsonCS2 For sure, I think people see the vibe you put out, and try to match it. It's much appreciated. I've definitely experienced the toxic side of the CS community, but thats cuz I bottom-frag in competitive games on Office. Even then, other casters are kind of dickheads sometimes lol. I've seen both Flom and n0thing ripping into their rando teammates and it soured those guys a little bit for me. Take care brotha!
As a noobus humanus counter-strikensis my issue with counter strafing is still that it's not yet connected with my overall movement and fighting. I have to somewhat actively think about it. Which is obviously difficult since there are about a million and four other things to think about as well.
Thanks for the great video Wilson! Counter strafing with W and S will be a bit awkward for me ill try. Your vids help me increase my elo from 3.6k to 7.3k elo :)
Thank you wilson. Now i can reach 2000 mm elo in cs2 🙏❤ On serious note- Great video as always. Precise and on point explaination, answering every question that might come up in the mind of a person watching the video
Wilson. Can you do a video focusing on crouch spray.. when to use it, when not to use it. HOW to properly crouch spray, and at what distance.. i continually hear that it is situational and only do it when you are committing to a dual. But watching the pros or even some of your live streams, i see a lot of it going on.
i think my 10k elo lobby rarely counter strafing they hold movement key and spam p90 a ton lol but some are really good at movement they let go key down or shifting between a d but disadvantage is just smg is casino, it take a time before kill sometimes just get kill before can kill and some headshot corner really counter against smg spray some can tap burst really well but they took a time before they can shot but many smurf are very good with jiggling, it's higher level than normal counter strafing imo
really helpful, but why so when im playing in workshop i literally counter strafe like a god but when im playing in a match its like i never knew how to counter strafe again.
really great videos - one question: if i dont get the kill by my first counter strafe, lets say i strave to left without doing a kill, then i start going right in order to counter strafe again. Is this a "good" habit or better to just stand still after the first strafe?
Definitely a good habit. It’s better to stay on your feet and moving/strafing than to be idle. It makes the fight harder for the opponent since even if you miss your first burst/shot, your throwing more movement into the fight making their shot harder to hit. I’m glad you like the vids!:)
Should I countrrstrafe as a T too? Because it counter intuitive. Or countert's counterstrafe even when they just strafing casually? Or competitively. You know I mean. 🤣
"Your are not accurate while you`re moving" i cant agree with that, the amount i get 1 tapped while i see people moving with rifles or awp is insane, CS2 is like playing Valorant -> running and gunning...
