I have only watched the video for 3 mins and 36 seconds and I can already know it is a good video. Clean, Properly made and very communicable. I don't need the video. I am just blown aways by this Cost calculator plugin and how complex it is, but yet very nice.
Excellent tutorial, just a question: I would like to receive the quote via email when the client clicks submit. As the company admin, I want to ensure that I receive the requested quote immediately. Thanks
Hi. Thank you for your comment. Even though it seems in the preview of the Background option that there is a way to add the image as BG, it's not possible, unfortunately. For now, you can only add and change the colors. But it's a nice suggestion : ) We will think about it.
Hi, this looks like a great plugin, before I invest in the pro version can you advise if the following multiple conditions per line item be performed: Calculate total cost based on the following: No. of items (drop down list of various no. of items 1-10 = £10, 11-20 = £20 and so on) Multiple the no. of items based on frequency Monthly x 1, weekly x 1.5 Does it require reporting, yes = mutiply by 1, no = multiply by 0.5 and the figure on the calculator only show the total once all the above fields have been completed. So for example. 10 items, on a monthly bases, yes to reporting would result in £10 x 1 x 1 = £10 Thank you
Hi. Thank you for your question. I think you can do it even in the free version of plugin. For example, there is a custom dropdown element where you can assign a value or number to each label, but at the same time, you cannot specify a range of values. However, you can build the If/Else statements in Total custom element. So this flow can be implemented. I would recommend you visit our backend demo in order to play and check the calcualtor in action (you will find Back end Demo link on tha navigation bar) - stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-plugin/
Hi, hope you are doing good! Thank for making learning so easy. may i request you to please create a video tutorial on how we can add 1 - Mortgage calc 2 - Mortgage / Home Affordability Calculator on WordPress website. I'm desperately searching for a video tutorial on these but couldn't succeed yet. finely got the video with amazing commentary even a non-native can easily understand your commentary. so plz plz if you consider my request. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for tutorial. How you can change the "name", "total" on the top, and "total" on the bottom to other text? I want to change language of those words.
Hello, I want to make sure I fully understand your request, but it seems you're asking about the contact form. If so, please follow these steps: enable the order form under the Calculator > Settings tab > Order Form section. You can choose either the default form or one of the Contact Form 7 forms according to your preferences. This link might be helpful: Link to documentation on enabling order form >> docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/pro-plugin-features/send-form To ensure the "Send a Quote and Invoice to the Customer's Email" setting works, make sure you have set up SMTP settings on your website. Here's a useful manual about SMTP settings: Link to SMTP settings manual >> docs.stylemixthemes.com/f-a-q/smtp-settings Could you please clarify what you mean by "I'm just getting a solid button which can't be clicked on"? Once I understand better, I'll be able to assist you accordingly. Best regards, Lisa and StylemixThemes team
Hi. Thank you for your comment. Some of the features are avaialble in Cost Calculator Pro version like Conditions, Payment Gateways, Contact Form, Orders, etc. Find out the Comparison Table between Free and Pro here - stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-plugin/pricing/
Hi there! Please be aware that here isn't an option to manually assign IDs to each label in the dropdown. The plugin automatically generates and assigns these IDs for you. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
Hello, Adding parentheses "( )" is not necessary for the formula. A*B*C works as long as all fields have values. When one of the fields has a value of zero, the total result will also be zero.
Hi, is it possible to create a multi-step calculation form? I'd like to guide our visitors through each step slide by slide with showing the calculation / cost at the end. Is this possible?
Unfortunately, you did not show how to work in the formula with "IF". For example, the calculation formula provided that you selected “Apartment” and the second calculation formula that you selected a cottage.
Is it possible if we give the services and the prices at the back end when they select the services and submit the form they automatically get the quote in email?
Yes, it is definitely possible to set this up. You can use selection elements like dropdowns, checkboxes, or radio buttons to allow users to choose services and their associated prices. Enter the prices as values for these options. Here’s how you can do it: 1. Service Selection - Use dropdowns, checkboxes, or radio buttons for service selection, and input prices as values for these options. 2. Calculation - Implement any necessary calculations using the selected values in the formula section. 3. Order Form - Enable the contact form under the calculator settings and choose the contact form you want to use to send the quote. This setup will allow users to receive a quote via email based on their selections. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!
I purchased a pro version. I tried to build a simple House Affordability Calculator but struggle with it. Plug it in the formula but always results show incorrect. Assuming interest rate 0.05/12 give you answer 0.00 if global setting is on. Here is the formula I used: Total house afford base on monthly payment = Monthly Payment ((1-(1+Interest Rate)^-Periods) Interest Rate). It is very simple and easy in Microsoft Excel. Just use =PV(rate, nper, pmt).
Looks good! Is it possible to rename the main labels from english to my language? For example "summary" "total" "date" "discount" "subtotal" "save as pdf" etc. It would be amazing feature. I'd like to use this calculator but our website is in Hungary and don't want to use english words at all. Thanks in advance!
Hello, The calculator including fields and labels can be translated into different languages following the manual below: docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/translating-cost-calculator-into-a-different-language/translation-basics
I'm evaluating this plug in and ran into an issue; when I add a check box for the discount, it doesn't reduce the price by 10%, it just adds 10 cents to the total. The checkbox option also looks different in the video. Your options are main settings | styles | options. Mine are Element | Styles | Settings. I want to use it for a simple calculator where someone will select one of 2 base services, add hours if they choose and then receive a 10% discount if they check the box but it doesn't work. It just adds 10 cents instead of discounting the total 10%. And there doesn't seem to be a formula that will reduce the total by 10% if that box is checked. Help?
To create similar claculator as shown in the Video it is required to add Formula filed. To create a similar calculator as shown in the Video it is required to add a Formula field. Then, this discount field should be omitted from the total. Recently, we released a built-in discounts feature, you can try this settings for simple calculations: docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/pro-plugin-features/discounts
Hello, Thank you for providing the feature request! We have similar request in our public roadmap: stylemixthemes.cnflx.io/boards/cost-calculator-builder/22217 Can you please vote on it to consider it in future releases?
I haven't watched the whole guide yet, but we're currently making a courier service website and there's a few variables in cost. Package size, weight, and shipping "speed" are pretty straight forward, but we're running into an issue with distance. We know there's a distance slider, but that's a bit difficult for the customer to determine. Is it possible to enter a pickup and delivery address, then the calculator can determine the distance between the two points and apply a value to the kilometers? I may have figured out a workaround with the use of distance calculator plugin on the same page to determine the distance, but ideally we would have everything in the Cost Calculator plugin. Thanks in advance.
@StylemixThemes thanks! I think it would be a great feature to implement. Understandably it's probably a bit difficult to get working properly, even with something like a Google Maps API to autocompete addresses when filling out the field. Considering there's things like different routes and modes of transportation to consider when calculating the distance. But so far, the plugin is really nice and looks clean. Easy to customize the appearance and add fields with a pretty sophisticated formula system. For our purposes right now, it works great as a quick 'n dirty "instant free estimate" option for customers to get an idea of cost. With the implementation of distance, we would definitely purchase the pro version to allow customers to pay online via CC.
@@BananaSplitz Thank you for your positive feedback, we really appreciate it and we do our best to provide an intuitive and smooth UX/UX as well as with the functionality. At the moment, we already have a design for how the distance calculation should look on the calculator. The project is in an active development stage. We are just beginning the development process. In any case, we will notify through our newsletter and social networks about the release of new features, including distance calculation.
Hi! Is there a posibility to take the price of the product dynamically in woocommerce and then add the calculations based on months etc. to this price?
Hi, You can assign Calculator to the WooCommerce product, to change the price dynamically. This feature is available in the pro version of the plugin and the following guide can be helpful: docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/pro-plugin-features/woo-products
Currently, there is no option directly send calculated data to WhatsApp. This can be achieved by using Custom Webhooks: docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/pro-plugin-features/custom-webhooks You can disable the contact form and set up webhooks when payment is completed.
The form submission button appears when the Order Form is enabled in the Calculator settings. This feature is available in the pro version of the plugin. docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/pro-plugin-features/send-form
In the pro version of the plugin, an order is created when someone submits the form. Both the customer and the site administrator receive a summary of the order.
