How do we allow our employee to log into the actual instagram account with partial access so they can like, comment, follow etc from our account? I can't find this anywhere. thanks
@guycusson6377 These actions are possible through Meta Business Suite. If they need to do it via the Instagram app, then it's only possible by sharing the Instagram username and password.
@@leadsie Is this a change in Meta? Because our intern last year could just make posts and stories through the instagram app, but this summer's intern can't add our business account to his own instagram. I don't want to share my instagram password bc my personal and business are connected and then he would have access to my personal. Are you saying that he can't make posts through the app anymore?
The tutorial is great The only problem... that managing content through Business Suit - have some limitations, especially for reels and stories, and adding music on them.... how do I give access to manage instagram page directly from instagram?
Since Threads are fairly new and a separate app, you might need the Instagram account login to share text updates and participate in public discussions in Threads.
is it possible for somebody that has been given access to actually manage the instagram account from the instagram app rather than business suite? (without the need for actual login) but by doing it in a similar way for when one would manage the facebook page as admin? thank you
Hi both. Unfortunately not. If the other person must use the Instagram app, they unfortunately must have your Instagram username / password. Best Johannes / Leadsie
Thanks so much for this wonderful video. Do I need to give my employee full access or will he be able to manage my Instagram page with just partial access? I'm concerned about giving anyone full access because under the full access tab it says that “their access can’t be changed”
Fantastic, we're glad you enjoyed it! You can definitely select "Partial Access" in the first screen, and then select the specific "partial access" permissions for the Page and Instagram, your employee will be able to do everything, but not share access further. That should be enough! Best Johannes
Is there a way for my employees to manage my instagram (post, comment, like etc.) from their instagram app OR does everything they do for my business need to be done via meta business manager? Thanks!
Great question! If you want your employees to manage your instagram from their app, you need them to log in using your username / password. Once you've confirmed the 2FA (which you should have active!), the account should work on that device for a couple of months.
@leadsie thanks, great video. However, when I want to link my Instagram (6:40 in your video), it wants to change my personal insta into a business account. However I created a business account page within my personal instagram account, so how can I only link the business page (and not my personal page)?
Hi! Your video was very helpful! I have a question: I have a business Facebook page that I deactivated. Does it need to be active for an employee to have access to post on Instagram? Id' prefer for the business to have an IG page only.
Hi. I am wondering if this is possible. I gave access to someone to manage My instagram. I know she can but she isnt in the list. Is that possible. She has work needed to be done and since i want to end our contract i want to remove her first before letting her know.
Hi there! Did you check if she potentially has access as a partner? And does she have access perhaps to the Facebook page only (which gives her access to Instagram too). Lastly, could it be she has your username / password? Best Johannes/ Leadsie
I do my reels usually via Instagram - short videos of me speaking to the camera with background music. I tried using meta business for first time to post the reel on IG but gave me the message that IG videos cannot accomodate two audio sources (my voice + background music) so the background music overrides my voice audio. Is there a way around this?
ok, thanks, but can someone other than myself like a staff member who hasn’t got admin rights still do it directly via Instagram without giving username and password? (Limited access or something like that)
I need help! I reuqest accesses to my client's page and she granted and all went well, but she hadn't connected her instagram to her facebook page yet. Now she has but I can't only post reel, I don't have permissions to post regular posts or stories. The only solution I 've found is to login with her instagram, but she's not comfortable sharing that with me, nor she's tech savvy enough to go to settings and give me permissions. Is there something I can do?
@@FloridaNapalan-leadsie Isn’t there any other way? She doesn’t understand Meta/not tech savvy. It was already hard for her to follow the instructions I gave her.
Thanks so much for the video! Very easy to follow through! I have a question, if I want to run ad for my instagram from another business manager account, do I need to first remove the instagram from my original BM? Thank you so much :)
Glad you liked our video 🙂 You don't necessarily need to remove Instagram from your original BM. What you can do is share access of your Instagram to your other BM. You can follow the instructions here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5pAbBYK5F98.htmlfeature=shared&t=624
Thank you so much for your reply :)) My follow up question, if the first ad account is disabled on BM A, and therefore I need to advertise from another ad account on BM B. In this case, do you recommend to keep the IG asset on BM A or B? Thank you so much, your info really helps a lot when the official FB support is kinda limited for most users 🙏
Very good video thanks! But I have one question, whenever I try to connect facebook account with instagram account, it says: "Sorry, this content isn't available right now. The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you're not in." Is there a way for you to help me out ? Thanks !
Hi artemp, thanks for your feedback! Yes, Facebook / IG can be a bit buggy. Here are some things that may help: - Try clearing your cookies or use a different browser - Try to link Instagram "the other way" around, so if you're trying from Facebook, then do it from Instagram instead Let us know if that helps 🙏
Thank you for comprehensive video! Question regarding sharing instagram, is it possible to give an employee access thanks to which this person will be able to a) invite other users to follow my account b) comment/like others content? Thank you!
Managing content through Business Suite has some limitations. If you want your employees to manage your Instagram from their app, you need them to log in using your username / password.
I have access but am still not able to send / accept collaboration requests or reply to comments on which the business account is tagged. I also don't have access to the full range of Instagram filters, or ability to add a soundtrack to a post
This is really helpful!!! Do you have resources/trainings that help answer HOW, as a social media manager, can you truly manage an account (update highlights, create reels with trending audio, pin notes comments on content)? Not having access to the actual Instagram app I'm accustom to is throwing me for a loop.
Hey @HardinRH & @nadiaryan1542 - we don't have more in depth guides at the moment. If you don't have access to Instagram as a user, then the actual "management" of the account happens through Business Suite. There's a bit more information on how to use Business Suite here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u5Pud5UR-X4.htmlsi=X4i1aPJFADaGu1tv&t=281 Does that help? Johannes
This tutorial is very helpful. But I need some additional assistance. The partners we used attempted to setup up access but it appears they have missed a few steps. I cannot figure out where they left off. May I engage with Leadsie to help solve this issue?
When I click "create an account" the dialogue box looks different. It looks like a dialogue box for a personal account. It doesn't say "Create Your Business Account". Do I need to have a personal account first?
I had a personal IG and just set up a Business. I set up a separate business acct because I still work full time and dont need everyone in my business. Can I keep bothering accounts and have my graphic person work on my acct?
Ok, we did this, however, the user doesn't have access to the full range of tools on Instagram, such as adding music etc. How does a user get access to all the editing tools?
this is amazing thanks. Is there a way to grant access that gives a person full control to your IG feed? so they can find and engage on people posts, saves videos, etc?
hi! this is great... but I am having so much trouble as an authorized user... I am linked and can post on the computer... but I cannot do it on my phone... help?
Whats the difference between people and partner u said people means nothing but employee we give them access to manage certain tasks what about partners i dont understand pls explain
People are individuals that you add to your business portfolio. They are assigned access to your business portfolio and business assets through a 2-layer permissions system. Partners are other businesses, such as agencies or clients, with whom you work.
Hi mr i have a problem my Instagram account is linked with a business manager restricted and i cant deleted or linked it with anothrr business manger whats the solution pls
@@leadsiefacebook never respond, I’ve been restricted from 8th December 2023 for no reason and used all three appeals! So now I have to create a whole new instagram again
Hi there, I still have a question: I have access to a business instagram account (the company I am working for) and would like to post there at Instagram via my mobile phone. Is that possible as well? I have been searching for hours but on my mobile under accounts I do not see the option to switch to the other account. looking forward to your answer :-)
Hey @SoMeCobida - you'll have to get their email / password and log in. You can switch to another account by tapping your account logo/photo on the bottom right, then the account name on the top left. Then select "Add Instagram Account". Does that work?
@@leadsie I thought you said you wouldn't give out a email password. So the only way for a social media manager to manage your account via mobile is provide the company's email and password?
@@gooselings_ they can manage everything via Meta Business Suite - that's the best way. If they need to do it via the Instagram app, then it's only possible by sharing the Instagram username and password.
One i have been made an admin in meta for FB and IG. How do I then add them on the mobile version? Its asking me for their password. Which obv I dont have. thanks
