Could you possibly do a clip Dedicated to just adding MAME games? I watched the clip that you have, but, its very fast in that part, and not perfectly clear. It would be massively helpful for me, and Many others I expect if you had a dedicated clip for how to add MAME games to the Pandora. I'll be using 3 EXs in 3 cabs, one of which is a Vertical monitor. I know the King of Air 2 is a Vert box, but, its Jamma, and I think it will be easier to stick to one type of set up across the cabs. I have the EX and followed all the instructions using an external USB but the ROMS I put on there don't appear in the game listings on the EX games screen. Any ideas?
Hi love your video's. Looking at getting a pandora box for my arcade cabinet which has an lcd monitor. Looking to play only mame games. With so many pandora boxes out there is there a certain one you would recommend?
A PC! ^-^ ... Seriously- if you're wanting to get a MAME machine- Either A PC, or something like the Console X / MUB are the only paths you should choose.
Hello, i am trying do add games using a 8gb USB Fat32 formatted thumbdrive, after created on root "game" folder, i've created sub folders and copied some games inside but after inserted this usb drive into any USB pandora's ports and turned on it, always it shows up his 3300 integrated microsd games. I've added some games in the past on DX version and i see that only difference with EX is presence of "game" folder where put all subfolders and files.. I am guessing where i am wrong
@@silviacara1782 yes i have another EX and it works... My first one has a pre production firmware that don't permit adding games.. The second one instead have correct final firmware and on it added games works
@@lroby74 that's a real bummer..even the manual that came with the board says you can add games and it turns out you can't.. Do you have any way to check the firmware or is it just a deduction?

Thank you for the instructions! They worked perfectly. It was great at first having 26000+ games, but now I will only play 100 or so games per platform/console. Is it possible after installing Pandory DX to setup a new 128GB SD card with no games so that I can add only the ones I want later? Thanks in advance.
Yes, in the games already in the system when you buy it... if you add more games they will haven't the preview (unless you go to insert a special file with the video preview)
Hi team, I have a question. I have a New EX, and have it in a cab, but, the Sphere at the boot seems squished. I have the correct LCD driver card, do I need to set the Pandora to fit the screen? Its a 1Up Marvel Super Heros, so it should be the correct aspect. Also, I was to add games, and I watched your awesome clip above. I only care about MAME games, but I have "MAME.Roms.0.201.Merged.Set" its all Rars, if I unpack that, will that be correct to add to my Pandora to play those games? Howdy, noticed that you added Raiden 2 in the video. Was able to run? Cause I been trying to get that game to run on my Pandora’s box EX for the past hour and can’t get it to run. It shows up in the menu but does not want to start
I happened to have a RegiisJoy console from amazon (pandora basically) I deleted the partition on the SD card without cloning the drive, I'm stuck because even though I reformatted it, I dropped the entire contents of what I manually grabbed off the card. It won't read anything on it, it lists as 0 games, I can't go into the settings or anything in the box .-.
2 questions : On DX... Can we keep the video preview of the roms we add? Also, How can we customize the menu and add our own image or skin? I can't find any ressources on this... thanks!

Buenas! Me resulta muy útil e interesante tu canal. Tengo una Pandora ex y me surgen varios problemas que no tuve con otras. Por defecto siempre me aparecen 2 créditos de inicio, en lugar de 1 por jugador. Lo tengo en modo free play. Y luego he observado en varios árcades que la dificultad esta alta en comparación con otras pandoras o sistemas, y a pesar de cambiarlo en el menú no noto que se modifique. Muchas gracias! Tampoco se me añaden juegos siguiendo este tutorial 😢
Is there a possibility to add OpenBOR games? I wish I could play some beat'em up games when I'll build my own arcade machine. I'm planning to have MAME and OpenBOR games exclusively on my arcade, to capture the arcade-y feeling.
Hey I keep trying to add Dreamcast games to my Pandora box DX and I can’t get them to show up. I got the PlayStation Roms to show up and are playable but the Dreamcast aren’t. I saved them as a .cdi file and made the games folder and the roms_dc folder. Any ideas?

Have you tested this with Ultimate Mortal Kombat? It seems like while it can run Marvel vs Capcom and Capcom vs SNK 2 at full speed, it still can't handle Mortal Kombat 2 at full speed.
If I don't remove the original SD (I'm afraid of breaking it) but I use that USB system, maybe it can work, or do I have to remove the original SD yes or yes?
Thanks for posting the video. I have a bunch of.AVI files in a movies folder that worked on my Pandora’s box DX as previews for games I had added. Do you know how I can get these preview videos to work with the EX? Someone mentioned possibly having to convert them to.MP4 files is that correct? Or do the movies need to be in the individual subfolders like Mame, Famicom, etc. thank you
Hi, thanks for the info. I tried to add games in the micro sd and all is ok, the games work fine. With usb i have a big problem: when i connect the pendrive to the pandora box ex and i turn it on i don't see the games inside the usb (i have created a game folder in the root and inside that a folder roms_sfc for super nintendo games, roms_psp and roms_n64) and also i don't see the games added in the micro sd, i see only the 3.300 basic games. Can you help me? I have read below that also another user (lroby74) has the same problem. Many thanks!
There's many things it could be. Try formatting to fat32, try another microsd / usb stick. We used a simple microsd to usb adapter. If that fails you may be able to do directly to the main microsd inside the unit.
I put 50 games in it and some it did not recognize but the name was recorded, how do I delete the games that it did not recognize in the USB memory, I already removed the memory and their names continue to appear even when I reset the Pandora to its factory settings
You'd need to make sure they're actually deleted from the microsd and usb stick. If it's a problem with the device, try asking the reseller or producer

@@carlosmirandarojas6562 it's not normal (that we know of), but saying that, the ex had broken many functions of the DX. That's only one of the reasons why we didn't recommend this model.
does this process work for pandora esports box? because all the file names are wrong and the directory is a mess! in the info file they say you need to add the rom name into a text file and add a new user, but that would mean typing in thousands of rom names!
Not that I know of. It's by a different company. TBH I haven't actually tried adding any games to the esports box yet. Might have another look, it's been a while since we burnt it in the review.
@@TeamPandory been having a look at the mini sd card for the esports box and after numerous attempts to clone this from 64gb to 128gb i think this card is encrypted

Could be.a few things. 1. Fake test the new card before you do anything. There's a tool called fakeflashtester. 2. Make sure when you format the microsd it's the same type as the original microsd (will either be fat32 or exfat - use Rufus for formatting) 3. You can try win32imager to create a perfect clone of the microsd. 4. Try another microsd ... That one may simply be incompatible
Dear Team Pandory, anything is ok with adding games on the pandora box EX, but just one thing thet is not mentioned in your good video: When adding new games, ( for example i have added dc games and mame games ecc. ecc...)they will NOT have any boot/presentation video; so it will be dispaleyd just an ugly picture saying "new Games". How i can fix this? Even if i try to change the original introduction movie, it works with the orignal pandora EX games....but with the new added games it won't work. Any help? Thank you!

It will be wonderfull.They use on the EX mp4 video format instead of avi like in the DX for example.
le puse 50 juegos y algunos no los reconoció pero se quedó el nombre grabado, cómo borro los juegos que no me reconoció en la memoria usb, ya quité la memoria y me siguen apareciendo sus nombres aun reiniciando el pandora a sus ajustes de fábrica
El problema no es agregar, si no que se borren los juegos que no agarraron, queda toda la lista de juegos que agregué aunque quite la tarjeta SD o el usb pendrive, lo malo que no tiene opción de borrar juegos manualmente esta Pandora, de envalde la ram que tiene, le quitaron muchas opciones importantes

But I read that it is not in 0.78 romset, but only in newers set and in MAME2010. So, I have to give up? I'm building an usb stick with the folders game/roms_mame2003 etc... but I have a question, is it ok to add the compressed file .zip and nothing more? in the romset i didnt find any .nv file or .cfg file, it will be ok with just the compressed games without any other file? The pandora box will see the games in game/roms_mame2003 folder without .nv or .cfg files but just the .zip games files? Really thanks for the support!
@@ginaseta9236 That's how mame roms work. Only needs the one .zip file for each game. the .nv file is usually created on boot- like a file that remembers settings and dip switches. The cfg, if needed is also created on first boot- but only ever needed to be edited if controls are not working.

You can test, but I am doubtful that videos work with added games to the Pandora Box EX. You can check if a normal video that is already on the box works by copy pasting, and renaming to a rom that you have added yourself.
Can I ask your advice, I just bought a Pandora 3D for sega blast city 31khz monitor and it’s 720p out only… I bought from a guy who didn’t know but said it had VGA so I took a punt on it… So please can you tell me what it the most recent Pandora that supports 640 x 480 And one that supports some 3D games too Also what vertical Pandora supports 640 x 480 too… thanks for any advice
Hi Johnny. It's 720p output only via VGA but your 31khz monitor should be effectively squashing it to the right 4:3 ratio. It doesn't support 640x480 at all. Is your monitor displaying anything?
Just a scrambled picture but my monitor can only reach 640 x 480 . I have seen Pandora’s boxes working on crt cabs… Pandora Dx on some RU-vid videos.. it’s so hard to find out the right info, so no Pandora’s box run at 640 x 480 ??
@@giddygoon73 the dx can run at 640x480, but the point is that the 3D/ android line just stretch to the screen so if you're on a 4.3 monitor, it should be displayed but in the correct aspect ratio. @@Sam-Lawry there's much more success with this on the pg3d. DC games don't have the graphical glitches on the ex, but most, if not all the atomiswave ports don't work.
