Thank you! The wishlist feature is an interesting question... I get a lot of requests for this, but the issue is you usually need a back-end (an app) because the saved products need to be stored somewhere (usually lets them create an account too). A wishlist without an app could only store data in the customer's browser (like a cookie). Meaning the saved product list could easily be wiped if the customer cleared their cookies for example. It just wouldn't be a very reliable wishlist. But maybe this is good enough? Would you want this kind of wishlist?
@@EdCodes ahh right of course, that makes a lot of sense! so it's best to get an app for this feature. I'd ideally want the customer to be able to revisit their Wishlist items , instead of them getting wiped off. also thanks a lot for the code in January's newsletter, I've just added it to some products!! 🤩🤩 keep up the amazing work, your videos are making such a difference!!
Hi Ed! There are several videos out there for setting up VScode & Prettier but none of them are very recent to include use of the official Shopify plugin and the evolution of the panoply/liquify plugin. It would be most awesome if you could do a video walking through the proper setup of VScode for working specifically with Shopify themes including the use of the Shopify plugin for theme-check and proper configuration of Prettier as formatter for .html.liquid files. I've run into some issues with having to choose either html OR liquid as the language for highlighting and formatting and I'm sure there's a correct way to do it for these hybrid Shopify files.
Yeah, but whats the alternative? You could hire a developer to code everything - but that often results in dependency on the developer for making various updates. So it depends what you are more comfortable with.

Thanks for the video. Pagefly is a subscription... but if I cancel the subscription, may I keep the sections I built? or is it like Design Packs, where you must keep paying the monthly fee?
No, this is a common misunderstanding but you cannot keep the sections you built without the subscription. They exist on the Pagefly infrastructure and code. Without the app they would not work, so that's why you need to keep paying the subscription. Same thing for Design Packs. If you rarely need new pages then it's best to hire a developer to build a custom page one time. Page builders and design packs are useful if you frequently need to design new pages weekly/monthly for sales, promotions, custom blog posts etc...

how do I change the number of products that show in a collection on my homepage to more than 5? I want to make it 6, and increase the width when viewing on desktop. Would you be able to help?
Depends on your theme. Is the limit 5? Then you need to go into the code for that section and change the limit to 6. But maybe some CSS will need to be rewritten because yours will be only for 5 columns max etc... I'm not able to help but maybe you can find a dev to help you on my discord community (link in description) or use Storetasker.
