You explained a technical video very well. A suggestion for a future video: cover the solutions for how Windows vs Batocera uses different methods for the time as Windows is an hour in front of other operating systems. Batocera explains either updating the registry or changing the settings within Batocera. Turning off Windows automatic updating of date and time is a solution, but mightn't be for the purists.

Also a Keyboard and mouse is needed for accessing gamepoad view in Wii U emulation for viewing gamepad. For accessing gestures and movements that need to be done using the gamepad in some games like Lego City Undercover that require the use of the gamepad in game to complete some parts of the game. Also supporting the gamepad blow mechanic. Which you need to use in some games like Super Mario 3D World. and also motion controls that are needed in games like Splatoon.

I need help. I have Batocera Linux on mini PC running Cemu. Based on the generation of the mini PC, I figure I could only play up to Wii U games. All the Wii U games work except Breath of the Wild. It is asking for me to update the game. How to I install any DLCs on this game?

Great video. I have an issue just with Wii U games. They populate but crash when loaded. Not sure if you've ever seen this but every other console emulator works great.

Hey depends on the version of batocera. Unfortunately with each version the process for setting it up changes. I haven't set up on the latest versions so the process may differ now

So, I'm using the steam deck. Would that emulate the Wii u gamepad for say Wii u fit? Is there anything extra I need to do to use batocera and Wii u fit?

I added the downloaded rom and put them into the wiiu folder but only rpx type show up .( is it normal?) (wux type can not be seen on the batocera). how can I solve it.

Wii u and switch always crap out on new updates. Every update requires new setups for those collections. I'm not sure the process for wii u on 37 yet. Takes a bit of time to figure out how to get it up and running with every new update.

Thanks. I make my own images for Batocera. You usually have to go that route or you can buy ones that have been preconfigured.

@@RetroGamingGuy For example, to run Donkey Kong, inside Batocera, the "Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze" folder appears, then I access the folder > Code > then rs_10_production to press Play, how do I make it direct?

@@Edirbonametti You probably need new roms. There's roms where everything is combined together so you don't have to do that. Use these here. Should open right up when you add those in. archive.org/details/rr-nintendo-wii-u

what would you recommend im almost months of playing at my botocera old pc theres a lot of log most specially on some ps2 and ps3 games my cpu specs is biostar motherboard no graphics card 😔 . but hoping to play some of my ps2 and ps3 favorite games.. using some configs on low end pc what can you recomend i would like to buy some graphic card on my biostar mother board this your top fan from phillippines. thanks alot for some answer

Im a fan of the nvidia geforce GTX for graphics but you likely need a upgrade everywhere for ps3. I'm surprised you even get those games running on a low end pc. You usually need a gaming pc to get those games working properly. For ps2 I would try going into your settings title by title and switching skipdraw setting to 5 and switching the backend to software. That should clear up a lot of lags as it is without the graphics upgrade.

I haven't tried with a Wii controller yet I've been playing with my PlayStation style controller. Do the games work with regular controllers for you or nothing is working at all?

hi thanks answering back i got two games working with a usb controller mario tennis ultra smash and mario kart 8 the other games load up ok but can't get the controllers working with them is there a way to map out the controller in the settings many thanks

If I have multiple games with the same .rpx file name, the screenscraper files will get mixed up. For example, I try to open one game, but it opens another game. Any fix for this? I tried renaming the rpx file, but some games won't work if the name is changed (changing 'turbo.rpx' to 'mario kart 8.rpx')

If you manually scrape it does it work or does it change both titles to the same scraped content ?

@@RetroGamingGuy thats exactly what it does. It changes both game titles to the same scraped content. But, I just now found a fix for my issue. Within Cemu, under tool > title manager, i can convert any whole loadline folder (base game with update/dlc) to a .wua file which is a single file that I can name whatever I want, plus its smaller in size and playable within Cemu. It seems the best way to go for my situation.

I've downloaded a few games from Internet Archive but they won't boot. Any ideas?? Do I need a specific file type or bios??

Go to archive and type in rr-Nintendo-Wii-u and you'll see there's a option there to download a bunch of Wii U roms. Go to the zip files and you'll see a drop down to choose which ones you want. All those work. That's what I used. When you unzip those everything needed will be in the folder already otherwise you have ti piece them together with a lot of the other rom options out there which is an absolute nightmare to do.

Found the roms no issue, in fact it turns out it was the same source I got mine from before I posted. Unfortunately still no joy,tried Smash Tennis and it kicks me back to main menu. I reckon it might be that I'm currently running Batocera 35 Beta. Maybe theres an issue with Cemu.
