For me the main downside is that you have to make your character an Adobe Animate spritemap one, which I consider really optimized, but too reliant on Animate itself :(
Hey, a question, I have a friend who wants to put my oc bf in the game but he uses Windows, do you have any way we can do what you say and do in the video even if we are on Windows? I will wait for your response :D
addendum: as of right now, you are unable to change the gf equivalent of your character, as it's stuck with gf and nene atm once 0.5.1 drops, think that you should be able to do some crazy shit with this system
Duplicate the main charts and rename them to have “-(yourCharacterName)” afterwards. Example for if we’re making gf playable: The chart name would be named “boopeebo-chart-gf.json” metadata file would be named “bopeebo-metadata-gf” Go into the meta data and change the player from bf to gf. Hope this helps 👍

You might wanna try exporting the texture atlas from the “scene” instead of the “library”, if that doesn’t work try moving you’re character lower in the frames
@@PoshoDaReal2307 alright so I may have worded it badly, but you know the screen where you move the parts around? Export the character select sprites through there by right clicking the symbol then exporting it as a texture atlas

@@VoidofColors It would be easier for me to explain in discord, so that it would be more understandable, but I'll try here. so, I seem to have done everything the same way as in the tutorial, but for some reason the sprites of my character (atlas) do not appear in the character select menu (for some reason there are sprites of the boyfriend and the recruitment tag, also of the boyfriend). and when I selected my character, then in freeplay my sprites did not move, but there was only a static frame of the intro.
I have 2 problems. 1. My character doesn't seen to go to the right place (doesn't go to the place where the other playable characters go) 2. when I deselect of my characters icon it gives me an error I would appreciate of you would help me with this problem
1. This may be an issue with the character offsets, if not… export the texture atlas through the viewport/scene instead of the library. 2. You’re character might be missing a “slide out” or “slide in” animation
@@Dr.Coomer_Cothe viewport is the screen that shows what you are doing, so stuff like moving the parts or drawing. Just right click the whole symbol and then export it through there
