Thank you, Diana! This was awesome! Do you know if there is a way to move a group of audio tracks forward in the timeline all at once? For example, when you take out a video clip and then all your audio needs to move forward to line up with the video. I thought there might be a way to grab and move them all instead of moving each audio clip. Thank you in advance! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love this video for stacking different videos on one slide instead of duplicating video slides. Love to see more of the advanced ways to edit the video giving it a cinematography feel.
Thanks for posting this fantastic video. It is perfect for someone like me who has never created any type of video. This is so easy to follow. Thank you.
Your tutorial was so helpful. I had been trying to look for a how to include images in videos for so long and your video was far the easiest to understand and do.
Diana, this is EXACTLY what I wanted to learn today. I didn't think it was possible with Canva. I knew it "would be" eventually but here it is! The grid... that is the secret sauce. I am going to create a video today using this. I am very eager to also create tutorials using Canva. May I ask what software you use to screen share? Are you using Canva for this too? Canva is SO much fun! :) Thank you for another amazing tutorial!
@@TeamRonDi Quicktime player? Okay! I will check this out. Thank you again. I'm a Canva Champion on the beginning of my journey :) Super fun to edit videos. One of my fave things to do on canva right now :) Today I created a Canva Doc as well! This is greatness too! :)
Thank you! This video was beneficial. I needed to learn how to properly overlay my videos in Canva, which was becoming quite frustrating. This was very detailed and helpful. Again, thank you.
Nice ... Alternatively you can click on position, then layers, to select elements behind in situations where you don't want to alter the current position of elements in front
Thanks Diana! Can we speed up or slow down a video so that the entire video plays in a specific time frame (for example speed up an 8 second video to only 5 seconds)?
This is amazing if you have only 5-10 second clips but otherwise you have to scroll all the way down to the end of the element just to adjust the timing instead of just being able to click on the element just added and adjust the timing like you do the opacity or color. Still a lot of steps to make very simple adjustments and it's more time consuming to have to scroll through an entire video to make the new element just 2-3 seconds. The biggest advantage beside saving a few dollars is Canva is web based and you don't have to download a software to edit videos you just have to have even more time if your clips are more than a few seconds long.
@@TeamRonDi also the text layering is a pain, especially if you have a lot of texts that you want to enter. All of the texts have to be layered on top of each other which kind of makes it hard for you to see. It would be good if you could just create a element and simply drag it on top to the exact point where you want the text to be in the video instead of entering all of the texts on one clip.
this is excellent! Thank you for sharing! I'm having an issue though hope you can help, even though I duplicate and add another photo/video I only have the one that stays on top and the other gets inserted into the main video and I can' edit it if I want to. I hope this makes sense?
Hey!!! awesome video. For me the sizers icon to crop the grid isn't there, I literally can't see anything that replaces that. the frustration is real haha. If you know any solutions that would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks Diana! Always wanted to know how to do this so really grateful for this video! I have been binging your videos because I find your tutorials easy to follow and very valuable 😊👍
Glad this was helpful! 🤓💖 No, you cannot edit embed videos. If you embed a youtube video and then download it, you'll only see a thumbnail of the video but not the video itself.
Thank you Diana :) Great feature and perfect explanation! But I have a question regarding the video layer. I have a 3 minute video of a person explaining stuff and i want to add simple animations as icons and text. If I import the video I have a three minute long video in a single "site" and if I animate everything in that one site I can't see anything because EVERY Icon or text is shown on the canvas as soon as I stop the playback... I tried to split up the talking video in several pieces for to add the animations seperately so that Canva only shows the added pieces to the cut site but if I do that I can't refine the talking video because that will mess up the timings very badly. Is there any way to add an additional sort of "animation layer" or is there any setting to only show what's underneath the playhead?
This was a great video, glad I found your channel. Do you have a video on how to create a video like the one we're watching? For example, I have a video that I edit in iMovie but I need a video of me (to appear in the lower corner) showing me talking through the video for the audience.
Thank you dear! You can try the Canva feature called: Record yourself, when you click on the "Upload" tab in the side panel of the Editor. That will let you record yourself in a talking bubble. We personally use a different technique, but that involves other software like OBS, QuickTime Player and Premiere Pro to create our tutorials.
I loved this tutorial! And it looks simple enough but when I tried it did some reason Canva doesn’t show my element timing stacked on top like yours. Once I added the grid and placed a second element on top, i clips no loner see timing on the first element
Hi Maria, there's no way that I know of. You could restore the design to an older version if you have Canva Pro, here an article that can help you: www.canva.com/help/version-history/
Hi Diana, would you kindly make another video on how to add broll. I've watched several and have not been able to duplicate the process. On this particular video I dont understand *why you begin by inserting your video, then you put in a blank grid and finally you add broll.* When I follow these steps I can only see the 'last' video I added. I can not see the first video nor the blank grid. Would sincerely appreciate watching another video where I can see then three elements, how do I see them all and why. Thanks a lot.
Hello I've been watching your videos and those really are helpful. Thank you. How can I download high resolution video from Canva. The quality of the video is reduced when I download
Hi at the beginning of this video when you show uploading the video you are going to use there are some images of dogs with hats on, do you have these in canva or did you use them for something, I love them!
I am re watching this for I am have trouble with the timing and being able to see both the video and picture so i can seperate them is there a trick to see them stacked on each other so i can move them?
Love your videos Diana! I have Canva pro. I can't figure out how to upload videos from my iphone to Canva so I can edit on the desktop. I have the Canva app but it only uploads 5 seconds. Is it possible to do this? Thanks again!!
Hi Kim, as far as I know, the content you upload via the app is not available on desktop. You'll have to upload it again from desktop to use it there 😢 Hopefully this will be possible in the future.
@@TeamRonDi Ty for your reply! I was able to figure it out. I think it was that I couldn’t just use any frame?! I had to go to the “grid”. Either way, I was able to figure it out! Ty so much for your reply either way 🤗
Thanks! Your video really helped me with a visualizer thingy I was making. Do you know if it's possible to export at 4K60 in Canva, if you're a Canva Pro subscriber? MediaInfo shows my video was exported at 4K30
@@TeamRonDi ah, that's such a shame. Guess I'll have to interpolate the output from Canva, using VapourSynth, for any content I want to be 4K60. Thanks though 😅
Unfortunately, I did not see the "Show Timing" option in my drop down menu on Canva. I had the grid already on the project too. I don't understand why. Please let me know if you have any idea why. In any case, your lesson was quite well laid out so I liked and subscribed anyways. Thanks!
This option appears on video documents, if you cannot see it in this type of doc, it sounds like a tech problem. I'd recommend you contact Canva directly to see if they can find the issue: www.canva.com/help/get-in-touch/contact-support/
This was a great tutorial Diana! Just what I have been searching for! Can you overlay multiple videos? I tried but when I click on "show timing", it doesn't show a different timeline for the second video.
Hi Charmi, yes you can. Try moving the frame from both videos a little off from the middle and then select them both, you'll then see both timelines. Hope this helps 💫
Hi Diana, I hope you are doing well. Thanks again for another great video! I appreciate the time you take to produce these great tutorials. This is exactly what I was looking for! Have a wonderful evening! Perry
This is working for me at all. Adding the frame just covers my entire video and I have no option to split between screens. A couple other people have asked the same questions here and it looks like there hasn't been any response
Hey, I hope you are doing well.... 4:33 4:33 , all my work going fine but that grid frame which we use before , it's even covering my first video and not showing me my first video ? How to delete that grid after fixing other video or images etc..... Plz do help 😮
I don't get it. I even have Canva premium.... I upload the video and then I cannot do anything. When I right click on it, there is no option to show timeline. When I add a picture though and right click on it, I do have that option?!??!?!??!?!??! But then I cannot lay the two on top of each other... I am beyond frustrated not gonna lie
I need to know how to remove a frame in Canva. For example; I have my video uploaded but while editing it in Canva; I would like to remove a frame. How do I do that?
I have added full page grid elements 3 4 times in the video and added still pictures. But once I add pictures, the original main video is not speaking. Voice is coming but person is not speaking. Can anyone help....
Here's a question. I was able to add broll on landscape (horizontal) video in Canva following your turorial, but I basically busted my brain trying to follow the same method to add broll on portrait (vertical) video. It is impossible. Am I right or am I don't something wrong? The broll just doesn't give you the "Show Timing" option, so all you can do is add the video, but not being able to control how long it rolls over the main video.
Hi Ana, you need to start the project with a vertical video format to be able to adjust the time. It's possible that you are not working in a video document and that's why you don't see the timing option 🤷🏻♀️
If your document is a video format, it might be a tech problem so I'd recommend you contact Canva directly to see if they can find the issue: www.canva.com/help/get-in-touch/contact-support/
Heres my question. why does this only work in 1080 canvas? as soon as i change the canvas size to my desired aspect, i can no longer change the timings etc?
Hi, did you resize the document to another video format? If not, this feature might not appear. If your document is a video format, it might be a tech problem so I'd recommend you contact Canva directly to see if they can find the issue: www.canva.com/help/get-in-touch/contact-support/
I need to know how to have 2 videos on top of each other and one of them has the background removed. Essentially I have a video of someone dancing with the background removed and I want to layer it on top of another video.
oh jeez i am still lost. i was not able to figure out how to do it!!! i was able to add a photo but the audio cut out and I was not able to add any more photos. i wanted to add like 6 over my video and keep the audio of my video playing in the backround
