THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! this video is just what I needed: when I went to delete the shape of the envelope I pretty much had to blind eye/ guess where the text would be on the envelope but I took the blade out and just kept the square and it came out perfect! I'm helping my best friend address envelopes for her wedding and bridal shower
Thank you, Karley! I've used the white Gelly Roll 10 pen on several projects, and it has always worked well. I've used it for drawing images, too. And thanks so much for the reminder about the quick way to fill in "bubble" letters.
I recently got a Cricut Air and I was using my Gellyroll pens and was very disappointed the rollers would roll over it and ruin it. I had NO idea you could move the little rollers to the side haha! Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video! I am planning to use these for our wedding invitations. One question, is it better to do them each one envelope at a time or could you do two or three envelopes with the standard grip 12x24 mats? I am new to using a Cricut but we'll have about 60 envelopes to do.
Hi, Karley! I hope you see this 🙂 I finally got my envelope done after repeatedly having to restart everything because my machine kept timing out. I'm new, so I'm slow. But I finally got it! However, after drawing the address, my machine drew a "border" around the outside of the envelope. And it's not even centered. Can you help? Did I miss a step? Thanks for your tutorials. You are very helpful!
Great tutorial! which white toner printer do you recommend to print on colored stock paper - primarily to be used for printing labels, tags etc. thank you. :)
Hello! So I’m new to using a circuit but I’ve broken out mine that was given to me as a gift to address my wedding invitations. I followed your wonderful tutorial down to the fonts and when my cricuit is done writing on the envelope instead of “cutting” the square it uses the pen and outlines the envelope with the pen. How can I get it to not do that? 😊
@@KarleyHall it does it at the very end. It’s almost like it doesn’t lift the pen up like it does in your video. I’ll insert a picture of the envelope it did it on
@@rnguyen2516 I do! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Coi_hxBaVWQ.htmlsi=pBKbri32LULf_rwQ You’ll just make another text box and move it to the position you want :)
The guide wasn’t a thing when I made this tutorial :) that is a newer update. however- if I’m not mistaken- the guide doesn’t show up on the mat preview? I’ll have to look into it!
Any suggestions on the envelopes getting stuck or ripped. I tried the blue mat and the envelope came off and got jammed. I tried the green mat and when taking it off the mat it tore off pieces of the envelope and it was left on my mat.
I’d recommend rewatching that part of the video. You need to change the action to something other than write so it won’t actually draw it. You can also ditch the rectangle altogether and align it by eyeballing.
That's what I call fooling the machine! ☺☺☺☺☺ I use the text, no paper to cut, and place it the inches up or down as needed. It's fun to fool the Cricut.
