www.paragonweb.com The lid safety switch turns off the heating elements when the lid of a top-loading Paragon kiln is opened. The switch is required in Canada and Europe. The switch, located near the lid hinge, turns the elements off when the switch is tilted. If the switch is out of adjustment, the heating elements can turn off during a firing even with the lid closed.
