I’ve been going crazy for a few months trying to figure out what the noise was after getting new airtekk struts. This video is great and not a lot of shops have this knowledge at all.

Should of bought Squeakycleanair hahaha. Kidding. Your air struts shouldn't be doing that after a few months.

Wow this man is a life saver! My supplier didn’t know what the problem was, even airlift had no clue. But this makes sense, I’m going to try it tomorrow.💪🏻

You said adjust the front and the rear the same. But ti adjusted the front to 1/2 inch. And rear a 1/4 inch. I want to extend mine. But didn’t know if they shogun be the same. As I know the rest is suppose to be a little more psi. So I would think the adjustments should be longer in the front.

Adjust height or dampness. As a start point you can use any reference and adjust slowly. Depending on car and suspension it will differ. Yes theoretically can have front longer.

Next videos on rear un married bags and shocks please. I wanted to raise my rear 1" from my lowest position. Should that be done with a aluminum spacer?

So rear has NO height adjustment in schock. Has to be in a type of bag setting. Right?

Hi I’m on airtekk struts and when I go over a bump I hear a noise on the rear left side. When I raise the psi on the rear the noise I hear when going over bumps goes away but when I lower the psi the clunk returns. How can I fix this?
@squeakycleanair
@squeakycleanair 25 дней назад
@@johnrosario5273 honestly first determine it's your air struts. It could be anything suspension related. Endlinks, bushings for lower control arm etc. what car?

2011 Honda crv. I changed the sway bar bushing, sway bar links that is why I believe it is the strut. Just curious as to how I could resolve this issue
@squeakycleanair

@@johnrosario5273 I'd contact airekk for replacement. Sounds like a blown damper.

what if you hear clunking going over bumps from one corner only? I read somewhere online it could be a pillow ball bearing but not sure. It sounds like it’s coming from behind the glovebox. Sway bar end links are good so it’s not that.

Depending on air struts. What are you running? Check if your nuts are all tight. Otherwise contact manufacturer for warranty.

So if I adjust it, I’ll be able to fully air out like before? Cause currently I think I have to much thread on the front and possibly too little on the rear.
@squeakycleanair
@squeakycleanair 7 месяцев назад
It all varies on struts. Not all air suspension is the same. Just gotta play. You don't want the strut to be too long too.
@davidarmendariz8954
@davidarmendariz8954 8 месяцев назад
So you will recommend to adjust the same length of the factory ones??? Because the come shorter for about 2 inches or maybe more
@squeakycleanair
@squeakycleanair 8 месяцев назад
As close to possible of course. By nature performance air struts come a bit shorter.

Could this happen in reverse if I have mine threaded too high up because I'm getting a popping sound over bumps even small ones. But I have mine threaded pretty high up (I have 7 in of thread showing and I used to be at 7 and 1/4 but the rear wouldn't go as high as the front so I dropped it a quarter inch to get them more) because I actually want to keep my car at the stock right height and be able to raise and lower it from there. It's a 2023 bronco sport. It's a new kit by universal air It was actually the Maverick one and then I asked them to make it work on my bronco sport because they're basically the same platform and he just had to alter the rear lower bracket as I understand it. So recently everything was finr and then I unscrewed it by just a quarter of an inch. So there was a quarter of an inch less thread showing and then all the sudden I'm hearing this popping noise a lot over bumps and they aren't big bumps.
@squeakycleanair
@squeakycleanair 9 месяцев назад
Shocks not designed for platform perhaps not valved appropriately putting load on suspension where dampness of the shock isn't able to compensate. Is it a separated setup?
@sock979
@sock979 9 месяцев назад
@@squeakycleanair no in the front. It's just like a strut. It's all together. They're the same platform. The only thing I can think of is because mine is the badlands stock. It comes an inch higher so I had to you know make more threads show so it would be sitting at the stock height normally and then what I wanted was to raise it up and down like two and a half inches each way and it seem to be working fine. But then just this last weekend I took a quarter inch out because the front could raise like an inch higher than the rear to make them sit closer together. And then that way also wouldn't have to put as much PSI in the front bags to get it to the stock height and all the sudden I'm getting this clunking sound. Oh also it seems like it's only on the front right?
@squeakycleanair
@squeakycleanair 9 месяцев назад
@@sock979 ohh sorry front my bad. Rear shouldn't impact front tbh. If you're sure it's from front perhaps another suspension component went bad. Endlink? Something came loose perhaps after install?
@sock979
@sock979 9 месяцев назад
@@squeakycleanair okay that was my other thought. Was something with the sway bar end links. Or maybe I didn't bolt the top mounting bolts down to the right torque again I guess I'll just have to go through everything. It's just so weird that changing the height a quarter inch caused this. Unless I messed something up while I was down there and didn't realize it. If I figured out, I'll try to remember to post it

@@sock979 check your locking collars on all 4 struts if they employed performance struts. As well as your top mount nuts. That would do it!
