How to Adjust and Remove Elevating Leg Rests

To adjust the length of the leg rests, there should be a series of holes with a peg that can be pushed in to allow the foot rest part to move shorter and longer. In this video, you can see four holes on the black part of the outside of the leg rest next to the calf panel, and a silver peg that is on the second hole from the top. If you push that peg in, the foot rest can slide up and down so the peg will line up with a different hole. This will adjust the length for different individuals. Different leg rests may look a bit different, but the method of adjustment should be similar. Look for holes and a peg or button that can be pushed to release the foot rest and pull it up or down. I accidentally figured how to do it. Your reply contains the same error that I made. I know about the "holes with a peg." That's what threw me off. There are TWO Pegs opposite each other that are easily pressed in simultaneously to make the adjustment. I assume having two pegs is a safety feature to lessen chances of slipping. It's the simple stuff that stops us.@@candiraudebaugh4737

Hi! Sorry I missed your comment until now. On this particular wheelchair, the calf panel is locked at that height. Other wheelchairs may have a bolt that can be loosened to free the calf panel and move it up or down. The bolt should be on the side or back of the calf panel.
