G’day from Australia, I recently just purchased a Savage .338 Lapua Magnum 110 Elite Tactical. I’m having difficulty with the safety switch. I’m finding it that I have to put safety lever in safe mode, rack the slide to engage a round, pull lever down flick safety off, then I go to pull trigger and it locks solid won’t fire bullet, the safety lever is in shit area, don’t who thought of that. Any thoughts?
So, which rifle do you have? The 110 tactical or the 110 elite precision? Neither of which fire the 338 magnum AND there isn't a Elite Tactical. So I have no idea what rifle you're talking about but Savage Arms uses two standard safety triggers. The first is the side lock like that on the AK-47. Simple. Switch on, no shoot. Switch off, yes shoot. The other safety system Savage Arms uses is the Mossberg top slide safety. Ita on the top of the rifle. First position you can't pull trigger or open bolt. Second you CAN open bolt but no trigger pull, third is you can open bolt and can pull trigger. Hope you figured out how to operate your firearm safely and securely.
I’ve got the 110 elite precision.338 Lapua Magnum, I’ve replaced the trigger with a standard trigger, I had sent rifle back to importer, they had adjusted trigger and it was still jamming up after a couple of shots, was doing my head in so I replaced it with an aftermarket trigger and I’ve had No problems since, I can’t fault the rifle now. Accu trigger is a shit idea, I’ve served my country both Iraq and Afghanistan and never had this problem before
