Use a torque wrench to tighten your bolts (5 Nm). Grease the bolts, stops the bolts from getting rusted in place. Some people will say use blue loctite, personally not a fan of this, but some people swear by it. Just be aware with the loctite those bolts can be really on their tight when it comes time to remove them. Hope that helps.
I also thought that was the only way of doing this, but you can use the cleat bolt to push the nut down and twist it into the new position. No surgery required.
Yeah I initially tried a couple different methods. The glue holding them in place didn’t allow me to do that. Bolt would just twist, will try it again with the next pair.
I also managed to spin them around using a bolt which was slightly longer than the standard bolt (making it easier to hold). You just have to break the glue on the underside of the footbed that holds the nut in place/footbed down. Then you can rotate them with the end of a pick and a wiggle. Always rotate the nuts at the edge towards the middle of the shoe 👍
