How to Administer an Enema 

Mine tasted weird

I suffer from chronic constipation and just did my first enema. Its insane how much it cleans you out. It completely softened me up. I feel so clean and lightweight.

But how it work when patient have constipation or fecal impaction

Are these solutions mix with water? Seems to me that 420 ml, of liquid is not enough. Or what will be the amount for an adult? Thank you.

I don't know you but I wished you had given me my enemas while I was in the hospital many years ago. You certainly explained the process, equipment needed, and the connection to the giver providing a right attitude when giving the enema/s. Thank you so much Stanford Medicine for this video.

I take opiods unfortunately and because of that i suffer from major O.I.C. enemas are one of the things that I run to if Ive been clogged up and its an emergency, as in im so stopped up my body starts pushing stuff out by vomiting. Horrible situation. My suggestions for anyone else suffering like me, are O.T.C. meds, 1. Colace to soften stool, and 2. polyethylene glycol which is Miralax for a laxative, and 3. Drink water water water. Lastly, always know where the bathrooms are. Lol or else...

So, the kit is different for adults?

Why do enemas cause me to talk louder and non-stop for hours after the fecals have departed my anal canal? Does this happen to everyone? Even with a beer enema this happens. At that last enemas convention in Greeley, Colorado, I had a coffee enema that got me jabbering for hours. Wishing it was my hole instead of my mouth.
