FYI Aiden: " *Un*canny valley" is a legitimate psychology term pertaining to robotics. Humans get freaked by robotics that are about 90% human-like. Below the threshold, they are recognized as inanimate.
It's the term for the weird feeling you get when something is close to human but there's something unnatural about it that clicks in your brain and tells you there's something off
2024 end of February, update: still works (endurance mode) btw if some husks are moving when u started you can add more defenders on the way. Thx for the vid!
This works boys, just did it on my storm shied solo on Xbox 12/09/23 🤝 couple things to note tho 1) Drop ALL weapons (melee & ranged) before deploying ANY survivors 2) If you have a mythic, store it in inventory since you can’t drop it 3) Don’t worry about spawning & despawning defenders at a super fast pace, it will still work at a moderate pace as well 4) I stopped deploying defenders once I noticed the FPS on my game drop a bit (took about 5-10 mins at a constant, moderate pace) 5) You still will have to avoid mist monsters and killing smashers is completely optional if you don’t want them destroying your builds 6) Takers are really the only thing you need to avoid since they will chase you & one shot you 7) I died several times and was able to respawn during the defense, but it did take about 10 seconds longer so keep that in mind if you need to spawn back quickly 8) One or two normal zombies were still moving but didn’t really cause any problems so maybe still have traps for their pathing if you want to be more AFK My whole run was pretty much a breeze once I adjusted for these things. Good luck
@@mmadden_fishing sometimes they will look for a specific open spot where they can throw zombies at your base, watch out for that and then make sure to put roofs (with cones) over that area and their spawn area discourage them from doing so. If you've done it right, they will just wander around or sit idle. Killing them is also an option
UPDATE 7/9/2024: Still works to even 7 months after it discovered. I did it till my frames started to drop, but i did 2 of them to make that happen, still possible with just 1 of these though. Have fun!
How hilarious. Still works months after... Forgot all about my twine ssd. Was able to solo every one up to twine ssd 5 4yrs ago. I see SSD 5 is a lot easier than what it was before.. After awhile you realize or start to realize where's the fun in sweating all the time. Fortnite needs to have fun challenges like complete a mission using a bounce house or merry go round build which is actually pretty funny.. anyways this person didn't explain it to well. You don't have to spam it as he said. just at a normal pace is fine. Any faster an you may accidentally destroy defend post. For PC I have no idea which keys. For controller/Xbox "1) Press X on defender post. 2) A to select defender. 3) Tap A again to confirm choice. 4) Press X to enter defender post. 5) Press B to go back, 6) Press A to select different defender and Tap A to confirm choice." Repeat 1-6. It's actually vary easy. Here are some helpful tips. •Using a gun when summoning defenders is easier so you don't accidentally pull out build paper or destroy post. Make sure to use a weapon neither defender can use. •You also don't necessarily need hundreds of defenders to freeze husks. Just enough to to float on lava. I assume like 30+ should do it. •An for those who don't know you have to empty inventory and place defender post on geyser or it won't work.. geyser is located west of spawn... Final tip ignore the 99% butthurt crybabies out there. They're just mad you took advantage of something that they are absolutely too dumb to do😊😂😂 hope this helps those having a difficult time finishing twine peaks ssd. Btw I suggest getting a vacuum tube bow to kill them from a distance when you have to kill. It's a good chain kill weapon in my opinion.. ignore the tank guys. They don't damage objectives... If anyone issues I don't mind helping you.. sadly "twine peaks only"
2024, January 15th and stills works, ppl that say that it doesn't, u guys are doing it wrong, I did the exact same and almost the exact amount of defenders as he showed on this video, the thing is, I dropped all my weapons, then do the sequences of the glitch for around 12 mins and after I got a ton i just picked up back ny guns and start the mission, Thanks for this vid!
11/03/2024 Still works. Was hesitant to try it, as my PS4 overheats really easily, but it worked so well, I will say, the ones that throw the other monsters are annoying asf, if you can deal with them tho, you've pretty much got it all covered.
@@shunsloman9313 are you sure? It worked for me. It wasn’t perfect but I was able to pretty much do nothing the whole time, only real problem was killing 300 or so husks while underleveled at 12 fps 💀
As of May 24, 2024 I can confirm it still works rofl. And Wow easily the best glitch for twine SSDs and if you’re doing endurance as well. 10/10 thanks for the video Aidan! 💙❤️
this glitch has pretty much been in the game since forever ago, it's more so got popular around the time he uploaded this, i recall about 7 months ish ago when a random video showing this hit the algorithm and it had like 35k views i think. Some ogs got mad at this i recall cause it shows this glitch, thing is we know it isnt the devs top priority, and it's a self induced result, either glitch and have no "challenge" when doing these or glitch and have a micro challenge, in the case you don't do the glitch you'd be building an afk trap tunnel, where you more than likely only kill the smashers and flingers. Even though epic has showed the idea of trap tunnels in the early days of some random trailers for stw, i doubt they expected what it is today where you pretty much afk everything, the main thing i think they didn't expect is the spamming of the tire dropper trap
This bug has been out for a while, I saw a video about it 2 months ago, shit helped me do my twine SSD 6 and 7 to get enough vbucks to buy the invincible skins 😆 Interesting to see you uploading a video on this now though.
I dont normally keep up with glitches in STW but recently I've been seeing them more too, since the most fun part of STW is the end game I thought I'd share methods to getting there faster since the glitches don't directly hurt anyone. Though I can see people saying "oh but now there are more noobs in Twine!" but they are either going to adapt or keep dying and leave out of boredem
@@-Aidanyour absolutely right. Anyone complaining about noobs being in twine doesn’t understand how games work. Plus even if there were more noobs that just means more players and faster load times I just got to twine )even though I’ve been playing on and off since beta) and I have the hardest time getting into lobbies to the point where I end up switching servers constantly just to get into lobbies with teammates. Having more noobs just means more players and I’d rather have 3 noobs on my team trying to help and get better than the dude running around the map not helping at all, and only doing the mission for the alert bonus. or the guy that’s impatient and leaves the game because the objective wasn’t started instantaneously and finished in five minutes. I had a guy curse me out for “rushing to twine” and leave the game, when I was doing a level 76 mission at power level 70 literally 2 days ago, all because I was exploring the map collecting quest items… didn’t bother me at all and I laughed it off because I’ve played games for a decade at this point, but some kid that hears that or someone noobish is just gonna leave the game if anytime they mess up in the slightest (or not at all) they get cursed out and than abandoned by their teammates… this obviously isn’t the norm and I have way more good memories than bad ones but there definitely is a super toxic sun community in stw where all the scammers, griefers, and just overall bad people reside.
I had like the greatest dude ever from a discord server show me this and help me through tpssd 5-8 he was a champion. Only reason we didn't go further was because I didn't have good air defense for lobbers in the later stages
@@crustiboi ah. make sure it's just two defenders youre swapping back from and that there are no guns for them to equip. if you have any weapons available of that type it wont work
It works but you gotta spawn a lot of defenders. I spawned a shit ton and a bunch of husks were able to move. Luckily I’m not dogshit so I was still able to win
@@digitalwhiz-rl3fi I summoned them for about 10 minutes but I spammed it very fast when I got the hang of it, you will know you have enough defenders when you have at least 10 defenders in the lava, which means you have 3 rows of them on the defense pad.
Going to try this when I get home today. Will update later. Update: I could not get the glitch with the Defenders to work. As far as I can tell, it has been patched, but there could be some factor that I am missing 3/27/24
No, I thought the same but it still works, you just need to do 1 defender, then switch the summon the defender. EXAMPLE; A1 I summon, I unsummon and click unsummon, and replace it with A2, then I unsummon A2 and replace it with A1 and rinse and repeat, worked for me like that.
