I have so much respect for your channel. God bless you. I started my channel this week to teach men how to cook healthy meals for themselves. An issue I'm concerned with. The videos are TERRIBLE! 😂. But I needed to start. I'd love for you to follow my progress.❤️
Health and fitness is the basis of everything. A well fitting suit on a decaying body will not be graceful. Sleep well, keep your weight down, eat lots of fibers. Also, your skin care routine goes through your gut!
@@reese85 Women 21-25 grams per day, men 30-38 per day. Considering most people are fiber deficient only getting 10-15 grams per day, most people definitely need the up their fiber intake in a major way, along with their water intake.
@@mrmoe110 LMFAOOOOO, nah, fiber will keep you regular, and reduces the risk of colon cancer, so yeah,,sh*t that sh*t out. I also go heavy on protein, I put all that in my smoothie, sea moss, chia seeds, hemp seeds and a super food blend:
My tip: Do something daily that involves mental/intellectual work. Learn another language, memorize poetry or great speeches, read classic literature, take evening/adult education classes, etc. I'm currently learning Portuguese and Russian simultaneously at age 66. Give your intellect the same workout that you give your body.
I agree embrace the aging process! I took up tennis a year ago, and it has become my favorite sport to play. Also I would say to travel the world, and read more books. It broadens your horizon, and make you more well rounded as a man. Process sugar is a constant battle for me lol. Oh by the way I'm 42!
agreed. traveling has shown me that (unless your personal health dictates) there nothing wrong with sugar - a dessert, ice cream/gelato, etcetera. many folk just simultaneously over consume it and sit down most of the day/get less movement. hit up paris. or hell, even closer than that, where i used to live, denver. folk eat and drink well, but move often - cycle, hike, ski, or just walk everywhere.
Thanks for the salute Jeff, let me add this is a topic my brother two years younger than myself (named Jeff👍🏾) often discuss, we know far too many guys when dressed casually still rocking Timbs, loose jeans and a backwards ball cap or corny kangol. This was well needed, leave the 80’s behind and dress with age appropriate dignity.
Right on point!! This video covered all angles on aging gracefully OG!!… I’m 55 yes. Old and excepted getting older everyday but I don’t feel old mentally vs. physically, I’m working on getting in better shape as we speak! I appreciate your input and knowledge in all your video’s…. Keep up the great work you do for brothas like us everywhere!
Style OG, this video has a lot of great tips for aging gracefully. Add water to your daily routine. I drink about 32 ounces or more daily. I work out three times a week. One of your top picks more sleep. I get 7 to 8 hrs a night. Thanks again for the video and your blazer 🔥🔥🔥.
Totally agree on most only thing I find hard is the Dress your age I’ve been a skateboarder for over 20 years so I still dress like a teenager when on my board. But try to dress up just out in public
Great stuff Jeff! A great tip I learned a long time ago with respect to staying active, new hobbies is “Always be curious”. You’ll never be stuck in a rut with nothing to do. Good health and peace to you!!
Yo, let me ask you something. Do you agree that there's a difference between being a bachelor and being mgtow? Personally, I think the latter is more extreme than the former.
@@dl3650 i am not MGTOW but i do have a question for men to ponder, lets say you have sex 3 times a week( unlikey if married) lets say you are a stud and last 30 mins each time, thats 90 mins a week of sex. now for the other 10,000 min aweek you have to put up w her? Is that worth it week in and week out?
Good 411 about lowering stress and sleep. Pinstripe blazer & white button down are fire. Tbh, I'll probably be looking towards the man-weave (if the time comes) as I hope more NYC barbers can reach the level of those who mastered it in ATL and BAL. Nose-trimmer is a life saver.
Excellent advice, unfortunately there is no seniority in life. As you get older it takes more work to maintain your physical condition but it is well worth it.
Marvelous topic! I really know about aging gracefully. I am in the youth of my old age and I am feeling refreshed and on top of my game. I personally think everything you said is true. I also believe one of my reasons for growing old gracefully is I smile more than frown, because it takes more facial muscles to frown than smile (although health and fitness along with personal grooming will always be at the top of that list for me). Another bang up job Good Sir.
Great video Jeff. Sound advice my friend. I myself use Tige Hanley products and they are very nice . I do not smoke or drink and I see my doctor twice a year. I will be 58 next month
Agree with skin care routine! Also vitamins/foods supporting skincare like Biotin and olive oil. Makes all the difference with total body exfoliation and moisturizing. The hair thing is a big deal also. I cut my hair and shave every full and new moon. Keeps me on a schedule and go for the deep clean detail. Love this channel
@@vicepresidentmikepence889 I don’t know Mr. Vice President good genes I guess I never smoked or drank much but I guess the Good Lord will call me when he’s ready. I am realistic it won’t be much longer now.
Great advice. Taking care of yourself will keep you looking your best. Have a routine and manage it wisely. Stay away from activities that hinder you.. Once again awesome advice. Thanks again Jeff. Salute.
The Style O.G. This is one of my favorite of your busy videos. As I listen to this video while grooming, I began to smile as I went through the entire check list. At the age of 54, I have implemented each and EVERYTHING you've mentioned to my daily lifestyle. So, thanks for my personal reinsurance that I am on que. However, I would recommend that one considered a plant based diet and Sea Moss. It's not an easy lifestyle for most to transition to. Although, I've found it to be highly benifitial to my lifestyle in the past three years. This is my additional recommendation for aging gracefully. Salute O.G.
Hey Jeffery, I did three things to age gracefully. Firstly, my dad told me The need to always take care of my face by moisturizing. Secondly, I got a personal trainer nine years ago and have been strength training religiously ever since. Thirdly, I shaved my head and instantly took ten years off my age. I realized I couldn’t hang on to my remaining hair three years ago but it took me two years to finally pull the trigger. I am so glad I did and I wish I did it years ago. There! My big three aging gracefully steps! Thanks for your continued excellent work! Salute my brother.
Great topic fantastic subject material appreciate it's not just rated "R" for mature audiences only but rather has "PG" substance that even younger men can use as they enter their golden years of life thanks as always and continue with the excellent work!
Thank you for this information. I checked out Tiege Hanley's website. Very impressive, just ordered my first box. I will update you ,on my thoughts. Peace and Blessings.
Pro tip for graying eyebrows: My eyebrows are one of the first places where my gray hair is showing up. This has the disadvantage of making my eyebrows "disappear" at a distance. To combat this, I've started wearing glasses with more noticeable frames. When someone is close, they can see the full expressiveness of my eyebrows right above my glasses frames. Much further away, the frames become the expected brow line.
Salute to you sir, great information. Me being a truck driver going state to state on a daily basis I have to be on top of my health and care. So this was great information for me.
A comment about stress. I have an acquaintance who is the same age as me. We’re in our mid-60’s. This guy is angry all the time. At war with the world. In truth, at war with himself. He now has developed heart problems and digestive problems. Small wonder.
Hi Style OG, I am glad you spoke about skin care, I couldn't stress that enough. Men should pay more attention to the largest organ on your body. Sending love and positive energy from South Afrika.
GREAT Video for the OG’s in the community. Let me add “ MONK FRUIT “ Sweetner instead of sugar is what I switched too because I have a sweet tooth and it’s natural instead of artificial . I totally agree with you that sugar is a problem and nobody told us growing up.
I think a man cant go wrong in a suit. White shirt as well and decent clean shoes. I see women checking me out when im in the whistle. Increases confidence as well.
I’ll be 51 on June 30th of this year & I look at other dudes my age & well...shit I’m doing good! 👍I’ve had people tell me on the regular that they didn’t think I was even 40 ...as far as style I go for the classics & stay away from bright, loud & flashy clothes I stick with Dickies,Levi’s,Cartthart,Vans,Chucks,Tim’s,Nike Air Force 1’s,Clark’s ,Champion hoodies,Shell toe Adidas,Suede Pumas,North Face Supreme, etc you get the idea
I recommend buying import European and Asian sunscreens if you can, they have better UVA protection than we do in the US. Also retinol, acids, moisturizers, and many procedures are at our disposal.
1. Have style and change with the times, in other words your style must not be antiquated. 2. You must reduce your stress levels to age gracefully. 3. Do a job that you love. 4. Get rid of bad habits. 5. Reduce sugar intake. 6. Exercise. 7. Dye grey hair if you like. 😉⭐
Bro, I love your intro, “Your Best Tips.” My motto is “Do your own thing!” Being a trendsetter myself, I'm afraid I have to disagree with your suggestions of reaching back beyond our time for fashion preferences, because that defeats the whole purpose of change. You aid guys to go out and try to dress like you, while ladies prefer men that stand out. Looking like everyone else always gives me an advantage, so keep teaching how to dress like a Simp. Black dont crack Brother- food, activity, and God keeps you looking and sleeping good. I applaud you for recommending we get checkups. Peace Bro! What are you talking about Man- stay out the damn mirror!!! Start using the words “Masculinity and Manhood.”
Love this baby-blue, pinstriped blazer of yours Jeff!😎💯 Ageing gracefully can also involve wearing brighter colours like this in your style and refraining from dark colours.
I think it's a seersucker suit. (Jeff can correct me if I'm mistaken.) Seersucker is a good fabric for warm weather, since it's a looser weave with more airflow.
I just thought of an interesting question. Would a romantic partner rather see gray body hair (especially down there) or prefer us to shave/trim it down as low as we can?
I definitely need to work on my style in dressing I live in Europe 15 yrs now but dress like American 80s, I notice the guys here my age have their summer style of back in the day and it gives me a bit of a laugh, its cargo shorts Tshirt with a Denim Vest and sandals with socks and a huge chunky watch I call them the "GONE FISHIN DUDES"
