Thank you. I didn't realize celebrating my Sim's birthday would age her up. I assumed the game would ask me. Not ready for her to be an old lady just yet! She hasn't fulfilled her aspirations as a mom yet.
You're welcome! Yes, this is how it works in Sims! When I was a beginner Sims player, I had the same problem. I was like, Wait, I don't want to age! I haven't even started playing, lol!
My sim has the same birthday as her brother and when I had the candles relit for him she blow them out again and became a young adult instead of a teen like she was supposed to

I have age progression turned off because I want my Sims to live forever but I'm not sure I can send my teenage sims to University in that state 😞 is it possible? Can you also make tutorial about aging up neighborhood NPCs? Especially NPC babies
There is a gameplay setting that says something like, "age sims outside household" and there is a checkmark next to it. You Click the checkmark to make sure it turns like this: ✅
so, i do everything what is in the video, but my problem is. When i'm already in the menu where i can change his age i can't do it i have a message like "you can't change your sim when he's already created"

One of my sims has a children from random women but the still infants and I can't age them up because I can't go to their houses I only see Them in his family list

Hey, I've done this, but my issue is that although my sim displays the young adult bar, he is still aged up in looks as an adult! Not sure how to fix this. Any insight?
Hello! Do you have any mods in your game? Because sometimes they create issues! I never had this issue and never heard of it...I play from pc. I will research it and if I find something I will reply!
@@How_To_Sims Yes, I do play with mods! None of them affect game play and are only custom content for clothing/appearance. I also play on PC. Let me know if you find anything, I'll have to look too; I was hoping it was a common issue.

To do it on ps4 you need to do the following: Press all 4 buttons behind your controller and the cheat box will appear. Type: testingcheats true and press the X button on your controller to enable cheats. Then, to do a shift click like I mentioned in the video, go to your Sim and hold Circle and press X on your controller! I hope this helps!
Follow the video again from the start. Sometimes the cas.fulleditmode cheat glitches and it doesn't apply. I had the same issue sometimes but I retry it and then it worked!

@@How_To_Sims thank you for your info and time :) I figured it out, nothing seems to change, but when I go into CAS I can see the change, and I'm able to age up or down. So the original you shared actually does still work for us console players 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Since I don't have a ps4 or xbox I can't make a tutorial video but I will definitely help you! To do this on console is very simple too! First, you need to enable cheats... To do this hold all 4 triggers buttons (all 4 buttons behind your controller) together to open the cheat box (white box that you can write cheats)... When cheat box is opened type testingcheats true and press X button on your controller. (maybe it's cicrle or triangle, I'm not sure) (if testingcheats true doesn't work try: testingcheats on) but after that, a message will appear that says "cheats are enabled". Then type: cas.fulleditmode and again press X button to apply the cheat code... After that, go on a Sim and to do a shift-click. You can do a shift click on consoles like this: hold Circle and press X (on PlayStation 4) or hold B and press A (on Xbox One). Then the option "modify in CAS" will appear like I showed in the video! After that, follow the video and you should be ready to age your Sims! Thank you for your support to my channel!

But since you are playing on ps4 you need to do this: shift-click on consoles: hold Circle and press X (on PlayStation 4) or hold B and press A (on Xbox One).
