How to aggressively break in a fresh Rotary rebuild 

As much as I love ther other cars, this RX8 is bringing some funny and fresh content. It's more like fucking around than anything, absolutely love it!

Bought a 2000$ rx8 a few months back. Low compression and needs a rebuild. I hope you can do some more in depth rotary rebuilds In the future. Please cover proper ways to tolerance and gap all the seals!

Rob got a faster time because he actually shifted at the top of the range, and slipped the tires less. Isaiah did a mad burnout at the beginning, then shifted at like 7000 rpm. It only “felt faster” because it was so jerky! 🤪

I only found your channel a few weeks ago. I am absolutely enthralled. LOVE every single thing you guys are doing and learning heaps. I experienced a 13B in Corolla a frightening number of years ago that blew us into the weeds with flames a foot long out the exhaust. Here we are 30 years later and I am gobsmacked. 4 rotors, all wheel drive, stupendous horsepower and your huge passion! Rob, you are killing it. Love the interaction with Isiah. Genuine question : what would happen if you "money shift" a rotary? I mean there's no pistons that can hit valves right? Would the engine only rev high and that's it? Or it can damage things?

I have just started watching some of your posts, and you talk about apex seals breaking, down under here in Australia, I have just watched a 1500hp Billet 20B 3 rotor build from ProMaz on FullBoost You tube channel and he talks about Apex seals that don't break, they'll bend but don't break. Thought I might ping you, although your right up there with this stuff, it might be something for your research. Ps Great no nonsense channel, keep up the good work.

What I need to know, is can you drift with the stock diff unwelded. The Internet says it comes stock with an LSD, but struggled to get mine sliding the other week. Curious if it's inexperience, or I need to weld the diff.

It's the tank they get brittle and thr rib the cap goes to the hold down on it it breaks. I used to do them a lot it's RX8 thing and be careful not to break the radiator The spouts on the radiator are very brittle

Or better yet, donate it to a local fan that needs help with their own rotary aspirations. Btw the cheapest rx8 in my state here in Australia is $9980 with 150k kms... that's roughly $7700 with 97k miles.... where I live we aren't allowed to buy insurance write offs and put them back on the road, they are for parts only
