Sight picture/string alignment maybe? I thought it would be covered here :( Also the alignment of the arms and shoulders Recently a mate who was watching me saw that my arms were too aligned and it cause my string to slap my shoulders or my arms which sometimes caused massive error left and right Since then I started shooting slightly out of alignment, which improved consistency but decreased my aiming stability
I've tried a million times and I can't keep both eyes open without the target going completely out of focus so I squint the left eye which works for me (I shoot right handed). So: both eyes open, left eye squint (which I think Sjef does), left eye shut, or both eyes shut???? ; ] ... I bet you're going to cover this in the next vid
hello guys. I was planning to buy a Formula Xi Riser with Velos limbs. Wanted to get your user review as I cant seem to find any about the feel of the shot while shooting
Your balance system inputs are comprised of three things: vision, inner ear, and proprioception. In archery aiming, your vision is focused and therefore mentally dedicated to a fixed point. The movement that your eyes detect inform the body to realign with gravity. But this input is somewhat dulled do the small focal point; you are effectively turning off your peripheral vision. Inner ear mechanisms in a stationary posture must be "tuned" to again, detect very slight movements of the head - tilt and rotation. The unstable platform training benefits proprioception the most. This is the feedback the brain receives from the muscles and joints moving and adjusting subconsciously. Through repetition and relaxation into the "ground", the brain will sort out how much of each muscle to fire or relax. You cannot "think" your way through this - it is experiential learning the same way a toddler learns to stand up and walk (eventually :) In effect, unstable platform training teaches you how NOT to move, without TRYING not to move!
Great advice on the utilities to speed up the process. Could you please make a video on string alignment as there isn't any good tutorial on it anywhere. Thanks in advance from Kenya with love!
Hello. After the draw and anchor..and when I start to aim, my sight is always under the target and I have difficulty lifting the bow to align the sight with the target. So when I release the arrow, the accuracy is inconsistent (although sometimes I hit the target)..most of the time, the arrows are below the target.. I have tried lowering the sight since my arrows are low but the results are not improving..what should I do? Thanks
That back muscle movements, when i try to do the same, my draw arm shoulder shrugs up and my right shoulder gets impingement and i can hardly expand through the clicker at full draw, can you do a video kn how to fix this problem?
During the draw, do you look at both the sight and the target already, or just the target? Likewise, once you have anchored, what is the position of the sight in relation to the target? Should it be already aligned with the target, or is it below or above the target and then you make minor adjustments and release the arrow? Thanks.
I know this was a year ago, but you should only be focusing on your aiming spot on the target and then just bringing the sight pin to where you're aiming. At least that's what I was taught lol, hope it helped
