As a scale model builder, I have always been intrigued by airbrushing; so much can be done from an artistic level, it just boggles the mind. And then to see the weathering effects that 'appear" so simple, unless you have never used an airbrush or played around with colors that make up real objects. I see this is an older video but it is very appreciated and not at all outdated. Thanks!
@AirbrushFX Thanks man. I used Auto Air 4712, red oxide. You can really go crazy with this stuff. Check out the xbox 360 video that I did using this technique.
Have you ever done a tutorial that shows how to airbrush old, distressed lettering like the lettering you have in the beginning of the videos? I know on the videos its done digitally, but I'll like to know how to do that on a vehicle
I haven't. The way I would go about doing that, is to make a mask of the letters, spray your color through them, then scratch them with a scotch brite or sandpaper. If I ever get time to paint again, I'll have to play with the idea.
I just did my first "art" work, with only about 12 hours of training, the last one (torn sheet metal) is the newest I just did, with rivets, and only a few stencil items. Check it out and give feedback (good or bad). thanks.. Airbrush by newbee
