prepare your clother the day before , declutter your wardrobe to be sure you have only the clothes you love thanks for the tips:) btw do you have other hobbies beside fashion?
I really appreciate your effort to feature people of different backgrounds, races, genders, body types, and ages when sharing outfit inspiration. It’s helpful and refreshing. Great video as always, Christina!
I'm absolutely NOT a morning person, so one thing I do is to always make time on Sundays to plan out my work outfits for the week. I purchased one pack of shirt hangers with an attached hook on each to allow for the bottom to hang with the top and if I have a cardigan, vest or blazer to wear it with, they get hung together as an outfit. I check the weather for the week and base outfits that way. I steam everything--or at least 3 days' worth of outfits--on Sunday night. I also make sure out of the items I've chosen that week, at least 2 of the bottoms go with at least 3 tops in case I don't feel like wearing a particular top or bottom. And if I flip outfits, I don't have to rush to steam in the morning. I'm naturally a disorganized person at home but have to be organized at work supporting a C-Suite executive, so I have to do everything I can to function as efficiently in the mornings as I can. Because it sure as hell a struggle. 😆
Those hangers sound amazing.I no longer work, so putting together work outfits is not important any more. But if I still worked, I’d definitely look for those hangers. Thanks for mentioning them.
I just realized that my clothes dryer has a "refresh" setting and it has been life changing. If I don't have time to press or steam something, I can pop it in the dryer on the refresh cycle, which has steam, and in those 10 minutes that it is tumbling away the wrinkles, I can be finishing my make up or hair. It has been a great time saver.
Lint rolling - a MUST for all pet owners! that said, I have turned up to an event in chic clothes, that were undeniably covered in our pets' hairs, so I just brazened it out 😂
Hot tip! When steaming your clothes, run the steamer along the inside of the garment, rather than the outside. I worked retail for many years and found this was way more effective and caused less issues. Just be mindful of your fingers and NEVER steam clothes you’re already wearing! I made that mistake once and melted my stomach skin 😂
Your advice is always incredible. Thank you for bringing so much substance and succinctness to your channel. I literally get excited when you have a new video 😅. Congrats on the collab for this year, we can tell how much you enjoy and value that bag! Also, your blazer game and style is out of this world at this point! 🤌🏼
You look SO chick in this picture. My tried-and-true outfit formulas: I love all-black outfits, a statement lipstick, matching nail polish, with edited accessoires, a classic statement coat and, to top it all off, a hat.
@@DrDroog29 Agreed. I love them merely for their functional purpose for warmth in the winter and for UV protection in the summer. But yeah, more and more I wear them as a fashion statement. What are your favorites?
Love this! I can't believe I'm actually feeling stylish these days, wearing my second best while on maternity leave. You, Signe and Alyssa have totally transformed the way I think about my clothes and put together my outfits. So grateful to you guys, I can't wait to wear my better pieces once I'm out of the radius of the pureed food missiles. 😆
I love my big gold hoops and my long brown wool coat. Even if I'm wearing a hoody and leggings, adding my hoops and coat immediately elevates the outfit and makes it feel much more intentional than it is.
Great advice, and I'm very tempted by the bags (those drippy tote bags!)! Since I'm retired (70) and travel for fun a lot to Paris, I have formulas for dressing. I'm also a blazer person, always have been. Based on your Indyx introduction, I've been loading up my capsule wardrobes on it! Thank you so much for these tips.
I have an Excel spreadsheet of columns: Spring/Summer, Fall Winter, Tops, Jacket, Pants, Skirt, Accessories, Shoes, Belt, Purse, etc. Each time I create an outfit I like, I add a new row to my spreadsheet. That way, when I am crunched for time or feel as if I don't know what to wear, I can refer to my spreadsheet.
My tip is to have an AirTag with anything valuable! I always have one in my purse, backpack, and suitcase, plus one on my keychain or with any other valuables. The peace of mind is worth it!
Wow this bag you featured is going to be my next bigger purchase for sure!! 😍 So genius design and amazing color options, not just black, beige and brown.
For oily hair that you don’t have time to wash, Spray your perfume on your hairbrush and brush your hair to make it smell nice. And then PUT IT IN A FRENCH TWIST! If you are 30+ years old, STOP DOING THE MESSY BUN! French twists literally only takes minutes, and it’s sooo much more classy and interesting than a bun! ❤
I’m going somewhere tomorrow afternoon. I just checked the weather. And isn’t going to be super warm. I might wear my high waist wide leg jeans. And they won’t be ironed. I may throw them in the dryer for a few minutes while I shower. And I have a corduroy cropped jacket. I bought the jacket to wear with those jeans. And it got shoved to the back of my closet. So I haven’t worn it yet. And I can wear my new balance sneakers. I love those shoes. They are very comfortable. Thanks for this video. My day is planned now. I just got all my hair cut off again. I hated the way it was. And now I have a little control on it. I’m retired. So I don’t go to work. And when I did I had a uniform. Shirt, with either pants or shorts. And a jacket if it was cold. I don’t even own an ironing board anymore. I have an iron. And I guess I could use my bed. Or my steamer. It gets a lot of use.
I do too! 😆 Well, I mainly steam now instead of iron but still have my iron & ironing board in case I need to iron a crisp crease or the collars/cuffs of a button down shirt.
Love your videos and styling approach! Would love to see your ideas and inspo for us commuting girlies. By the time I walk to the train, sit for 45 minutes, then walk to the office I’m often wind-blown and disheveled and always have to choose the right shoes or clothing materials….and it’s so limiting! Help!
Thanks Christina for your cool videos! I have 2 questions. How do you wear a blazer all the time? I like wearing it but my problem is the weather. During the Fall and winter it's not comfy to wear a blazer inside my jacket. During the summer, it's too hot. So only some spring days I might be able to wear it outside😏 so how do you manage it? My next question is, what's the brand and model of your gray curvy blazer?
Thanks, Christina! I can relate to this video content so much. So practical & keeping style in tact... Also, I continue to enjoy your co-hosted "Sustain This!" podcast on Spotify.❤ Being organized is so underrated, especially when having to get dressed in a rush. I either have clothing, scarves/wraps/Turkish towels, shoes & other accessories in solids or prints, which makes mixing & matching so easy. It looks like I took more time than I did to put an outfit together. "Garanimals for Grownups" is what I call that (Any repliers from the 1970's remember Garanimals?!?).😊❤❤
Because I have so many pairs of black and navy pants as well as jeans I hand them all on wooden hangers. Then I use a permanent marker on edge of the hangers to identify the pant. Eg; New Jag, skinny, jersey/dressy. I can find the exact pant I want and of course replace it on the same hanger. It also helps me identify "holes" in my pant wardrobe so that I can easily what I might need to purchase.
I love your style Christina and trying your examples trying I’m only 4’11 so I can’t get away with everything you’d beautifully wear but getting some nuggets!😊
Hi Christina! I love your content! Thank you so much for all of your tips! I was wondering what the plant on your nightstand is. I am looking for some beautiful little plants that don't require a ton of light! Thanks again for being you!
I don’t ever comment on YT but I have to say I love your style & all your content 🤍 AND your videos made me a buy a Songmont bag just last month. This new partnership made me so happy for you!
In the bag when I saw it in some of your videos, it looks beautiful, however, they sent it to the wrong address when I bought it, and they never answered my emails to them about helping me find where the big ended up. I eventually got my money back from PayPal, but it’s extremely frustrating and not really expected from what appeared to be a reputable company I will not be buying from them again
A white tee question: the two you compared… was that a COS tee on the left and a Uniqlo on the right side? Or do you recommend both? I have been looking to replace my white tees this summer and it’s been a struggle! Don’t even get me started on sizing! Maybe you could share that, too?
?? I know wardrobe size is personal to lifestyle, need and desire, but I would be interested in how many pairs of bottoms, tops and 3rd layers you have. I am trying to curate my closet and reduce the number of pieces I own and am just interested in what works for you. How many and why that number works for you would be interesting to your followers.
As a short woman I’ve worn monochromatic outfits for a long time. Statement jewelry is the fastest way to bring interest to one. I don’t really wear dainty jewelry. I’ll either wear statement earrings and no necklace. Or vice versa. So simple.
for those mid-rise black pleated trousers, try a top with higher neck - the one in the video has a wider and very deep V while the trouser is and inch or more below the waist - this is making your upper body longer and leg looks shorter, imho. Round neck or a narrower V neck, or high waist trousers perhaps would work better
I am loving some of the newer sweatpants that don't really feel or look like sweatpants, perfect for running errands, coffee, etc without looking like a slob! That bag is really cool too, will have to check those out.
Also can we get some inspiration for patent shoes. I have a black pointy pair I love but have no idea how to wear them as I feel shiny should go with shiny 🤷
Great video, what is the suit you wear and style in the video, because it does not seem to be the ones linked... the blazer seems to have a special detail at the elbow and the pants have a different pleat than those linked... maybe you mentioned it, but I didnt catch it, thanks 😊
I'm wondering how tall you are so I can better visualize if your looks would work on me. Also, love how you use all different ages, ethnicities, and sizes in your examples. Those 2 older ladies at 4:29 are EVERYTHING! I paused the video to take in their outfits and truly appreciate their style. Another wonderful video.
Would love to know how you get the Everlane pants to not wrinkle the moment you sit down. I missed the window for return and, at $128, am so disappointed I can’t wear them to work. They just look too sloppy and unprofessional.
Not sure what the asterisk means but the black trousers you are wearing are not the ones listed. Pretty sure the Aritzia is not for me, too high wasted for a start. I am looking for a pair with pleats facing inward, like the ones you are wearing. Can you give me your brand name or others you might have come across where the pleats don’t face to the outside, can be single or double. Enjoy your videos. Thanks
I may be in a minority when I say this, but I honestly despise wearing sweatpants out in public! They kind of just send the message of not being elegant or put together in my opinion... Having said this, however, I do feel like there are ways to dress up a pair of leggings in a way that's modest, and I have been known to going to school at least in leggings if I'm in a rush, but I'm trying to do that less often these days. I'd rather just keep those sweatpants or leggings for at-home wear as much as I can 😊
You're not alone... I can't do it either and I don't even own leggings. I don't judge others for how they dress their bodies so I'm not sure why putting on appearances is an issue for me. It's not my upbringing because my mom lives in yoga pants! I guess I just have my own style rules that make me feel comfortable by wearing less comfortable pants, if that makes any sense!
I also don‘t wear sweatpant or leddings out. There are more elegant but just as comfterble options. I like to wear dresses or pants with stretchy fabric and a blouse or a cute top. Takes no time to put on.
6:00 please make sure to understand Body Types before giving advices on dressing up. Monochrom outfits look terrible on some of the body types eg. Gamines. They simply look unrefined and dull in head-to-toe outfits. There is no one-size-fits-all solution in fashion.
Love this video! I was just thinking about some how I have trouble in the morning even with new basics I bought. Thanks so much for a great easy but super helpful video. Love the examples at the end. 🫶🏼☺️
