It is very true what Priscila says. You have the skills. Thank you so much. Other people did 15 minutes presentantions and still didnt explain anything.
To everybody that don't see the refine edge. The button has been moved. Press Select at the top and then hold shift while selecting "Select and Mask". Hope this helps!
Watched 2 other more recent videos on this topic that were seven minutes of double talking BS. But then this older video was straight to the money info! You're the best!
Thank you very much for the video, saved a ton of headaches. I'm doing a collage for my landscape architect class illustrating differences between French formal design and Shinto Japanese designs. I'm old and computer challenged lol, you saved the day.
the Refine Edge button (1:08) and Output To: New Layer is unique from other vids and made the difference for me. now i got the circle cropped. gracias Adobe in a Minute!
Ok, so I have the new version that just has the select and mask...which does not say save to new layer...how do I do that next step to save the circle now? No refined edge...which I think they now call it select and mask.
Every time I make a circle around the area I want the circle ends up being a color over top the picture. How do I just make a circle without the color filled in? Thanks
I'm using a trial version of Photoshop for 7 days and this feature is not there. I followed your guides but when I clicked the 'Rectangular Marquee tool', there were not options like yours. Is it a limit for the trial version?
Just right click the selection tool(be sure you have the background layer unlocked) , select ellipse then select the partyou want to crop , with that selected , right click and select , select inverse , then hit the delete key or simply right clik again and choose delete , and thats it.
make sure the elliptical marquee button (in your [typically verticle tool bar) is active/clicked on. i have an ancient version of photoshop and the refine edge button is present.
