If you need schematics for them you can go to Google put in the make and model and you should be able to download it for free

Would a circle with + - on it with only the letter A be a amp gauge ? the push button start with a 50A fuse goes to the - side of"A" And the + side of "A" goes to alternator . Thanks just found your channel , trying to catch up !
@Joeelectronicschematicsforauto
@Joeelectronicschematicsforauto 2 года назад
Yes any gauge with a capital A in it is an amp meter weather the negative or positive is connected depends on the positive going to the battery
@Joeelectronicschematicsforauto
@Joeelectronicschematicsforauto 2 года назад
If you want to measure an alternator you use a clamp meter which you just clamp around the wire as I have done in videos on Joe electronics schematics for Auto thank you for your question

@@Joeelectronicschematicsforauto thanks. Your teachings are very meticulous, if you could restructure and package your content that would be awesome. I can't speak for others, but I myself will not and try not to get into the wirings even thou learning about them is cool. I'm trying to be a hobbyist mechanic and am more interested in making sure that a car is in relatively good condition and make sure that any repairs I could do is within my capabilities.. which brought me to your channel because I was trying to get a refresher on circuits but also importantly trying to discover whether reference volts are standardized (apparently not all sensors have 5Vs but I think I can get better intuition by understanding their functions, as you have explained in some video) what's frustrating is it's hard to find such values as reference volts on alldatadiy, as I tried to on one of their sample reports. It's messy and leads to confusion for first timers.. maybe if you could make a short video to get important and useful data from alldatadiy for hobbyist I think that would be helpful. thanks for laying things out again, really appreciate your content!

@@jingyitay6179 the the problem is with today's cars they are computerized fuel pump starter lighting systems and there's a certain amount of circuits you have to know and today's modern computerized vehicles this is why I chose to teach people the basics the foundation are they they can decide on their own how they want to approach
@jingyitay6179
@jingyitay6179 3 года назад
@@Joeelectronicschematicsforauto Hi Joe, I understand what you mean. . but from this foundation can we know what's the reference voltage of the sensors? the only explanation I got why it's 5V is because that's the minimum voltage that the car can run off on (perhaps from manufacturer testing and also maybe from just analyzing the schematic diagrams?). So 5V is used as a constant for most of the sensors. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ibuvo4Zz4rw.html

Thank you for this. I never had anyone teach me how to read schematics, or wiring for that matter. Lately I’ve been working on my own car(14’ q60s coupe), building it the way that I want. Which has led me to retrofit my lights, and am currently working on the taillights. This has been very helpful and insightful. You’ve gained a new subscriber and follower. Keep up the good work sir.🫡
