One of my character (not my design) Has a stripe that goes along the face dividing 2 different colors, I hate animating him and he only has a simple stripe lmao😭
This is actually really helpful! I’ve written some of my characters off as unanimatable because of their stripes! I’ll definitely try this out soon! Tysm, pixi!
That walk cycle is cute and elegant at the same time xD Thanks for this tutorial. I rarely animate something with stripes bit I think this tutorial can help with markings of any kind ^-^
You're very welcome Fluffle, I am glad you like the animation cycle! This system can be used also for color separations and accessories ( like belts and so ).
I havent tested this but if you have trouble making the guidlines try drawing a side and front veiw of your character so you can get familiar with the shape of the body or even make a 3d model if you want!
Such a stylish walk ! Another useful tip for a pretty unusual problem in animation. You make things so clear for us ! Is there anything you can't master ?
This reminds me of that one scene from The Lion King where Simba, Timone, and Pumba are walking on that log while they sing Hakuna Mattata. Who knows how long they sang that song for since there's a time skip-
Ahah, yes so funny! Timon and Pumba stay the same while Simba grows up. A lion starts developing hunting skills at age 2, it's fully grown-up at age 4... so I guess they walk for a bit more than 2 years? 😅✨
YAY more Silver Fang. Was this the inspiration for the bear fight scene in Balto perhaps XD? Again amazed how simple you make something that is so complicated :D
Thanks so much Ember, I appreciate it! Yes, the part where the main character fights the bear was an inspirational reference as well as the bear fight scene in "The Fox and the Hound".
@@PixiGags Thank you for amazing tutorials! I always though when Jenna bites the muzzle that reminded me of Riki protecting Gin and the others. Jenna is one of the best animated characters and she can kick butt. I also love that in the movie it takes her a while to realize her leg is injures cause of the adrenaline wearing off. Such a detailed movie and so under appreciated ^^.
@@EmberWolfsArt I agree Ember, Jenna is a great character! I also find very believable her thought process when she second guesses Steel in the third act of the movie.
@@PixiGags Yeah one of many great moments. First time seeing it I was so happy of her realizing he is lying in that scene. All the other dogs buy it since they have not seen that side of Steele, only Jenna, Balto and Boris (and the trio) knows about it. Even if she cant be a 100% sure she still light the Northern Lights to keep hope going. Also the things Steele does as he is lying he " Pull up four of them on the sled...three more on my back" and he does a quick count...since there are only seven dogs on the team- him included. So many amazing details.
Man your videos are so helpful! If you don’t mind, can you make a bird walk cycle next? I’m making a animation for my grandma and she really likes flamingos lol. Love your videos!
Once I red the comment talking about that in west animated studios don't draw clothes with pattern. And they're right. East like Japanese are more open to draw clothes with pattern to animate it. Sometimes I like to watch anime because they put so much work with everything.
Hello Wil, that makes sense! In western animation ( like Disney for instance ) the movements are more fluid ( therefore more drawings are required ) and it would be too expensive using many patterns. Anime animation have lower fps ( meaning less drawings ), so they can afford to have more detail.
Hello Rusty, on the pen setting properties of your device there should be a slider for the "Tip Feel", there you can decide for pen sensitivity or even line thickness. If it looks different on your tablet try google that specific brand and model "tip feel" or "pen sensitivity". Otherwise the way I do it is to hold the pen, rest your wrist on the device and make the line by pulling back your elbow... that way the line thickness stays even.
@@PixiGags i want to play aroung my limitation of 24 frames, Clip Studio Pro makes me use only 24 frames, tried to find some tips on how I can play around with it but none of them helped me, I just want to practice animation at the moment since been a long time i dont do that
Lol im not an animating specialist, i see you are that you worked for disney, but i dont use the most complicated things what i do not understeand x3 i understeand keyfreames and the skeleton of the character, but to draw parts of body separate? : my brain now:🤯
Hello Tonny, you don't have to. Sometimes I do it ( like in the case of a cycle on place ) to follow one problem at the time and make sure all the body parts work.
