Thank you for demo'ing this kickstep move! I practiced it some, then I used it in some games this week. I used the crossover fake 3 times and scored each time with a pull-up. Then I used the pull-up and scored there also. The last one I did, the defender was tired, and didn't close on me, so I did the lay-up version. What a great move. It is a keeper for me. I even showed a few friends how to do this one.
Hey coach Collin... I was wondering if you could make a video of how to snap your wrist correctly because it always seems that I'm more pushing than I am shaping my wrist
i had that problem as well. i fixed it by squaring up on the basket and like a step away from the hoop shoot with one hand and try making yourself till it feels like a wave on your hand and shoot till you make it twice and take a step back till you get to the free throw line and do 2 hands. If you miss 3 times in a row start over EDIT: This is not some crazy magic shot, its just what i did to fix my own shot
Coach, can you pls make a vid or mention how to raise the ball to your set point. Should it feel like pushing it up or pulling the ball. It just feels weird. If I try to use body space then I screw up shot.
I watch a lot of youtube videos so I don't know if it was one of yours, but one of the best tips I've seen was jabbing after you do a crossover. Doing a crossover then a hard jab in the opposite direction is very affective for me.
PLS HELP ME FOR SOME REASON I HAVE SICK HANDLES BUT I BRICK EVERY SHOT I TAKE. I am a horrible free throw shooter, and even though I watch all your VIDS I BRICK EVERYTHING HELP MEEEEE
Thank you. I see these kids do this but I have no idea what it is or if it's legal. I'm going to teach this now. I think most people are calling it the step OUT though.
once i have the ball and the defender reacts i crossover it or behind the back once the defender you see him going to left ill go crossover to right and behind the back or whatever you used to combo it lol
You did demonstrate, when just shooting from the kickstep, a technical travel. Left foot was pivot and you moved it. Also, you only demonstrated move to dominant side. Consider instruction when going to non-dominant side.
