I thought this was going to be hard but when they showed how to apply it using plasma cutters and car batteries I had more confidence that I could do it. Thanks!
So, I installed my skin successfully, but I don't understand for the life of me how anyone can peel off the 3M paper without the keyboard cutout coming off. It was literally impossible for it to not come off, and made adjusting the skin pretty difficult. I'm happy with the result tho.
I got to see the framework skins after checking out the WAN show link, but there isn't any version for Framework 16 yet. Will definitely order one when it becomes available. Awesome instructional video btw.
@@brendancross2767 Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, I have to wait longer and see if there will be covers for the palmrest area around the trackpad with Obsidian.
Im not sure but it's probably not gonna be available since it isn't for the fw13 either. My guess is it might just be that the material could interfere with the trackpad cus of the metal added :/
I didn't know dbrand made little cutouts for the Framework logo! Now i need a red one to match my red bezel. The triple black Damascus looks incredible, and it wasn't even my first choice
I heard dbrand makes great comprehensive guides on how to apply the skins correctly and without issues and that's what makes them stand out? Where's are those? This video can't be it. The "remove the skin and reattach it" steps are a impossible to do as described. If there's a way to make that work, it should be described in this video.
What's up with the car battery, has anyone done this?!? I have a dbrand skin and have installed it but I don't think wanna go jacking it up with my car...
