Crinone gel is used before and after embryo transfer to increase the likelihood of successful embryo implantation to the endometrium. Its composition is the progesterone hormone.
In order to apply the gel, first of all open the box, take out an applicator and remove the external packaging. Hold it with your fingers from the thicker end of the applicator. In order to make the gel move towards the thinner end, shake the applicator several times as shown. Afterwards, detach the thin end as shown. Then, lie down on your back and pull your knees towards you. Insert the applicator into the vagina. Then press the thick end several times to release the gel into the vagina. After you are finished, remove the applicator and discard it.
Stay 10-15 minutes in lying down position. You may have a bit of discharge afterwards which is normal.
