Why Use Gtechniq EXOv5?
The fifth version of our Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating is here, EXOv5, and this short video walks you through how to apply this product.
EXOv5 delivers a hard film that makes water-spots easy to remove, offers great resistance to all wash chemicals and can help withstand micro-marring. It produces a high-gloss, warm-looking and extremely hydrophobic finish.
This latest version of EXO, is now a single layer product which has a consistent film that is more durable and resistant to road salt and washes chemicals than its predecessors. Application is slick & easy, with a slow flash-off time, giving more time to achieve a perfect finish.
Combine the above with a denser layer, which will help to prevent the build up of contaminants, this is yet another leap forward in Last Surface Protection (LSP) technology.

Hello, I applied the CSL 1 week ago. I haven't taken it out of the garage since. Looking back, I would like to apply the Exo V5 Hybrid as a topcoat. I heard that there was a minimum delay for the application after the CSL of about 2 hours, but is there a maximum delay to respect after the application of the CSL? Isn't it too late to apply it 1 week after the CSL? Thank you for your attention ✌🏼

Hey Chris, You can apply EXO later on down the line if its something you want to do. We would recommend carrying out a full decontamination wash to ensure you've removed as much contamination as possible, ensure the vehicle is properly dry, and then panel wipe the surface. You will then have a clinically clean surface for the EXO to bond onto.

If I have some EXOv5 left after applying 1 layer, can I apply a 2nd coat to hard hitting areas? If so how long should I wait between coats?

You could, or you could apply the remaining product to the side and rear glass or your wheel faces.

I have a car already coated with CSL and EXO v4. Can I just use PW to remove the EXO v4 and then apply v5 or do you recommend another process to apply EXO v5? Looking forward to your advice and can't wait to try it out!

Panel Wipe will not remove the EXOv4, so you will need to polish it to remove it.

@@GtechniqUK Quick follow up if you don’t mind. Won’t polishing also remove/degrade CSL? Would the process then be to polish, reapply CSL, then apply v5?

@@lyricaldistributionsupport3280 That is correct, you will also need to reapply the CSL. Our suggestion would be to wait it out until the EXOv4 degrades and then just re-apply EXOv5.

Not really. For best results, we would recommend removing the v4 and applying v5

C2 Ceramic Sealant (formerly known as Liquid Crystal) is a top-up sealant used to make paintwork hydrophobic and dirt-repellent. The Quick Detailer is used to remove fingerprints, light dust, dirt and water marks from paint. Quick Detailer is used more as a cleaner.
