49 and nevr been able to do it properly. I feel I'm at a disadvantage because I wear glasses and can't see anything without them. So I lean into the mirror and the end of my brush hits it or pokes my eye out. 😂 First World problems, as my lovely daughter tells me every time. Amazing video. Thank you
One of the best tutorials I've seen for beginners. It's nicely organized for beginners to understand brushes and pallettes. It's not too complicated and definitely good base technique. Most of us use only 3-4 shadows in one application and this tutorial really reflects it well. I really love how you explained shadows in the pallettes. Thank you!

OMG yes!!! Thank you for explaining what brushes well need .. I’ve literally gone through 100s of videos to get info about brushes and nobody has explained it as well as you have! Like that’s the most daunting part of starting makeup and everyone misses it

I watch a lot of makeup tutorials just to get different ideas. In my opinion how you arch your brow can make a difference on how the shadow looks also. I was “self taught” so no You Tube when I started wearing makeup lol 😄
1st tutorial I was actually able to get the look on the 1st step! I'm definitely a beginner and am quadriplegic so if I got it the 1st try not only must you be good at what you do lol but you explain it well too! I totally didn't have the same colors nor brushes as you but still pulled it off! 💪🏾💞💞💞🎯🎯
This tutorial is the only one that thoroughly explained the process yet simplified IMO. I’ve watched many and I feel after doing your tutorial my eyeshadow looks like I’ve wanted and now I will remember the easy steps! Thank you 😊

I found these tips very helpful. It's great to get the best application and which brushes are better suited to create the look. I would be very interested in seeing concealer application for covering blemishes, redness, and micro pigmentation. How to properly apply and blend concealer, foundation. Everyone has their own way but not necessarily the best way.
I've always been taught to or seen others start with the light shade and then add the dark in as you go to the outside corner/ top of lid... But it often makes my eyes look small or crossed in photos. Lolll Only recently in the past month or so, I started doing the dark first and then finishing with the light and blend it out, kind of like you did here... It works much better for me and doesn't make my eyes appear smaller. Thank you for showing this video to validate what I think I finally figured out. 🤭 I'm 37. Even a couple months ago, I asked an employee at Ulta how she did her eye makeup so... she explained a little bit about the brushes, but this video explains everything further and is very helpful. Thank you!! 🙏🙌

As an older makeup newbie, I’m super happy I saw you’re tutorial. This was just want I needed especially, what to look for when applying colors, application, transition shades etc. I’ve watched several other tutorials and this one made me feel like OKAY I can do this 🙌🏽 Oh and my very first pallet I just purchased is from Nars.

I’m by no means a beginner, and these three bushes are what I use every day. Fluffy for all over, tapered for darkening the outer v and flat for shimmers/metallics on the lid or on the inner third. Everything else is sort of just extra.
