We have done both applications together, and took only one appointment for both, at that time the passport application was available closer, so we took only passport appointment and submitted both applications together. They will take the application in the order birth registration first and passport application next. Thank you 👍😍

Where can we find payment link for birth registration and passport? do we have to pay for the birth certificate and passport on the day of our appointment ? Or is there any other way to pay for those services?

The payment isn't done online with the application, it's done when you submit the application at VFS or the embassy, they take card payment.

Hi, how long it will take to get the birth certificate? I want to apply passport on tatkal service so we need birth certificate first. right?

Yes, you require a birth certificate to apply through tatkal. (Due procedure tatkal doesn't make any sense unless you want it that emergency still need to get indian birth certificate to complete the application) We received the birth certificate in a 2-3weeks time, we applied for birth certificate and passport together, once we received the birth certificate we emailed the copy of birth certificate with the passport application details and after that it took a further 2 weeks to receive the passport. Both application videos are available on the channel

Hi If only dad goes to vfs to apply for passport for minor, should the mother give any authorization letter?! If yes, do you have any copy?!

Yes, if only one of you is visiting then you need to give an authorization letter to the other person, I don't have a copy, we just type down in paper with both parents details and signatures authorizing other person to act behalf, also include the applicant details and application reference Thank you 🙏

It was not required when we done the passport application & birth registration , just needed to get thumb impression of child based specification, rest all documents completely filled and ready.

I usually prefer to keep the given names alone and middle name and surname together ( both of my children's names are with similar style) , it's all personal preference how you want to view it on the passport, only thing if you start using a style stick with it, don't change it or if you already got style dont change it

You can always start a new application if you haven't' completed the appointment, you can just simply do a new one and submit the correct one on the appointment.

Will we receive any acknowledgement mail after sending copy of birth certificate via email for processing of passport ? And How many days it will take to receive passport after sending email ?

We haven't received any acknowledgement after sending Indian birth registration certificate, but after a week the application status changed to passport printed then it took around 1-2 weeks to receive the passport for us

It's not mandatory to take the baby, but you need to make sure all forms are filled correctly and also take the baby's thumb impression on the application form and One parent is sufficient to do the appointment. There is no need for any specific consent for that. Thank you 👍😍

Middlesbrough (North Yorkshire) fall under Birmingham consulate and the nearest office of Birmingham consulate is in Bradford This is the location maps.app.goo.gl/WjgSMmZv4TStYpTv5 You have this option available when you do the appointment booking. Thank you 👍

Parents signature as per I remember, as we had the thumb impression of the child on the application only.

My wife and I have different address in our passports. Can I provide any one of the indian addresses for the baby or it should be mine? Will it have any impact while applying UK dependent visa? Thank you.

Me and my wife have different printed address(indian address) on passport never had any problem going through the passport application , birth registration India or UK visa application for the child, any one of the address you prefer is fine

It's the same website, you can book an appointment in Belfast when doing the appointment booking after the application.

When doing registration there are only three consulate options in the list, Birmingham, Edinburgh, London , you can select London as the Belfast comes under London, then once you complete the application you book the appointment on Belfast vfs.

Documents required include, Indian birth registration, if you already done indian birth registration then it makes sense to apply for tatkal otherwise it won't be as passport will be issued once we submit the complete documents only.

I have given the kerala address for the printable address and my parents number in kerala.

That you need to check with the consular services over the phone, alternatively you can always do a new application and take an appointment in Bradford and submit the new application on appointment, only after appointment based on the submitted document the application will go through.

Is that a problem when taking appointment in bradford briminingham. On my passport application it shows top edinburg consulate.

For birmingham ,(Bradford), you have to do new application and make an appointment to submit the same. You cannot edit the application already submitted.
