Dumb question: if you have a stove w a pilot light, as long as you ventilate and don't light a match, you'll be good, right? You don't have to shut the gas off...?

Seems like in this scenario that a chamfer bit in the router could be used to put a nice machine finish on the edge after all the pieces are installed (after the flush bit). Of course depth control would be critical. Thoughts?

I think a 7 degree bearingless flush trim chamfer bit is what is normally used

💥Excellent video thank you. 5:55 man did that make me nervous. That bit doesn’t touch the top surface at all when trimming like that.??

Hi! I tried to do this buy after finishing, you can see the line across the borders Why is this? The laminate or something I did wrong?

Thank you for another great video. I usually don't care for laminates but this video might change the way I look at them.

Lol ya I've got the same opinion about laminates but this really looks sharp on the workbench! We love it so far!!

@@TimberTea I think the reason why it looks so good is because, unlike skinny regular commercial counter tops, the thickness makes it look more like a slab of heavy granite.

Laminates are bada**. Extremely durable. Heat resistant. Inexpensive. What's not to love? Lasts a long time. Not even heavy.
