Hello happy people. I was super excited to try a new method of applying press on nails. Be sure to watch the video until the end to see how they wore.

@@MissPinkBerry1 Prep Prep Prep! So important not matter what type of artificial extensions you are applying. If you do not already do “prep work” here is an example of basic/minimal prep. It’s a really good starting point, everyone is different and you may need to add or remove some steps to work for you… Remove cuticle from nail plate Etch nails gently Etch inside of press on Dehydrate Primer(optional/preference) Brush on glue is my favorite “nail glue”. Superglue gel is my favorite glue over all(because it’s not runny). Hope this helps.

So I watched your video 4 weeks ago. I ordered some plain white press-on nails and some acrylic powder. It arrived yesterday. So today, first time ever for me, I did my nails, and I did it your way! Wow, I'm so impressed and pleased with the results. Not sure how long they will last, as I'm still learning to get a good consistency with the "ball", but for most part I'm happy. Next time I'll also do my nails shorter. It's not very long at all but still feels too long for me. Thank you for your video and all the advice you gave me ❤❤❤

Just seeing your followup comment with the nails only lasting for a day or so for you. Once of the biggest things that helps with longevity is the nail prep. Pushing back cuticles, filing surface of nail, dehydrating the nail bed, adding primer, then the application. I spend more time on my prep than the actual application itself. And once you get the consistency of the acrylic that helps as well but I think a lot of it is in the prep work. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions. I'm happy to help. 😊

100% Kiss lasted like 1-2 days. I'm not going to lie though, I put some glue on that damn thing and glued it back on. The second nail popped off no less then 10 minutes later. Glued it to. They lasted 2weeks after the glue was applied. LOL to funny, it's the truth though. I have been doing my own press ons since before the pandemic and I seen this idea on tiktok. I thought it'd be great. Loved it because time was so fast. Well sometimes easier is not always better. Work smarter not harder they say. This was not a smart idea using kiss LMAO. So I'm glad I seen this one about to start. Not me watching a million videos for the past 2 weeks trying to figure it out.. When in doubt, RU-vid always comes through. This was literally the 1st video I watched. I am determined to make sure that I figure it out. Lol. Thank you for your very in depth video appreciate it. Keep them coming.

Good products (YN) plus the bond. I love the updates at the end. How long do you normally go between changing your nail sets? My nail supplies are growing so I am interested in doing them often but I don’t want to overdo it on my natural nails.
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 2 года назад
Yes those YN products are very high quality products! And I'll keep the updates coming because I also like to see how long products actually hold up. To answer your question, if I want to film a set I just use peel off base coat and that gives me the option to wear my nails up to 5 days and is super easy to remove with no damage to my natural nails. And when I'm not filming I can wear my sets for as long as I like (normally 2-3 weeks). I'll leave a link to the peel off base coat I use in case it might be helpful. It's amazing! Hey!! You are EXACTLY the person I've been dying to find for how to do press on with acrylics. I've tried to do press on nails with glue and they came off that same day! I'm sure i didn't let them "sit" without using water long enough and i don't have time. Lol I was just wondering.... can you wash your hands pretty soon after applying this method? Thank you/i became a subscriber! 😊
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 9 месяцев назад
Hey love! 🥰 Yes you can wash your hands as soon as you are done with this application. Because the acrylic cures during application and you cure the gel base and top coat in a lamp, the products are already set and ready for action. 💅🏾 This is another reason why I love this method of applying press ons. It's my go to. Glad my video was helpful. Let me know how this method works for you! 😊 Thanks for watching and Welcome to the Happy Family! 🥰💕❤️
@aj8203
@aj8203 9 месяцев назад
@RozeBeauty318 That is right up my alley then! I have the base and top coats ready, and I have a lamp! My last question is, do you recommend a specific acrylic powder and monomer? I know one video you mentioned the Mia line? I'm gonna buy this stuff for the 1st time and just trying to do it right the first time. 😊 Thank you!!
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 9 месяцев назад
@@aj8203 With the proper nail prep it should work with most acrylics and monomers. But I'll be honest, I have had the best experience using the Young Nails system. Although it is a little on the pricey side it is worth every penny and will last you ages. I'm still using the same acrylic that I showed in the video and its been almost 2 years since I did this video. So a little goes a long way for sure. And don't give up if it doesn't work the first time. With all things there is a slight learning curve. I think for those doing this for the first time, getting the liquid to powder ratio might be a little difficult. But once you get it, you got it! 💅🏾

@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 2 года назад
I only use the UV glue with clear full cover tips or press on nails that have a clear base (i.e. french tips) because I found that trying to use it with an opaque nail does not allow for the light to fully penetrate through the nail and and fully cure which could be why you are experiencing the nails feeling soft. You will definitely notice a difference with using acrylics to apply your press ons. It literally feels like you have a full set on fresh from the salon. 💅🏾 Let me know how it works for you. VERY newbie here. So when you ask for acrylics at a salon, they use "plastic nails" and then put acrylic powder on top of it and cure it under uv light. Your method however seems to use the acrylic as an adhesive, without uv light, which i understand. But can i still follow your process with those clear "plastic nails"? Would i need to put acrylic on top of it then too and put under uv light, or should I just paint them and put a top coat on? Sorry, I've got zero clue 😅😅
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 Год назад
Hey love! 💕 At the salon they use half cover tips then build the structure of the nail over your natural nail. When doing, the press ons with acrylic method, the structure of the nail is already built out so all you need to do is adhere it to your natural nail using various methods such as nail glue, sticky tabs, builder gel, rubber base, acrylic, etc. You don't actually need to apply the acrylic on top of the nail. You can just paint them and put top coat on. You actually don't need a UV light when doing this method, I only used one because I used a gel base and top coat to seal in the design of the press on nail. I hope this helps and let me know how this method works for you. It's my favorite way to apply press ons. 💅🏾 Thanks for watching! 🥰

@RozeBeauty318 2 года назад
Hey love! 💕 It is strange that some stayed on and others didn't. It could be a few things: maybe the nail was not properly prepped with dehydrator and primer, it could be the quality of products you are using, or there could have been small air bubbles near the cuticle and sidewalls that could have caused water or oil to get underneath which would cause premature lifting then they would pop off. The first time I tried this method my nails popped off after a few days. But after trying it a few more times with different products, I found this technique and combination of products was the best way to make them last for 3+ weeks. I hope this was helpful. It's possible it could be the products. I tried this method with different products and it did not last as long. So the quality of the products also matter. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🥰

I have a video that shows how I did it with builder gel as well. I'll leave it linked here in case it might be helpful to you. I think I’m gonna try this when I get paid because I know kiss sells a acrylic set it doesn’t come with primer, I feel like if this works and last it will be awesome because I always get my fingers stuck to my nails with glue and then it takes for ever to get the glue off my nail

Hey love! 💕 You will love this method to apply press ons. 💅🏾 It's my go to when I want my press ons to last over 2 weeks. I have tried this method with the Kiss kit from Walmart and sadly it only lasted a few days before the nails started popping off, so I think the quality of the products used really matters. Let me know how it works for you, I'll be interested to know how it holds up. Thanks for watching! 🥰

Have you try acrylic underneath and on top
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 Год назад
Hey love! 💕 I have only tried it with acrylic underneath. I normally apply a gel base and top coat and that usually gives the nail enough strength. But I've seen people apply acrylic on top I'm just too lazy to have to shape it afterwards. LOL! 😅 Thanks for watching 🥰

First time doing this today--my beads didn't seem gummy like here--was more liquid. Any tips?
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 2 года назад
Hey love! 💕 One thing you can do is after you pick up your bead, drain it a little bit to remove some of the the monomer from it which allows the acrylic to set quicker. It does take time to get the liquid to powder ratio right so just keep practicing and you will get it. 💅🏾 Let me know if you have other questions, I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching 😊

I have a problem: I use deshidratar, primer, bond, (YNAILS)ALL DIFFERENT GLUES I mean ALL and they all pop up. I also prepare cuticle and file mail. PLEASE HELP!!!
@RozeBeauty318
@RozeBeauty318 11 месяцев назад
Hey love! 💕Once of the biggest things that helps with longevity is the nail prep. Pushing back cuticles, filing surface of nail, dehydrating the nail bed, adding primer, then the application. I spend more time on my prep than the actual application itself. I have used various methods that last over 2 weeks (acrylic, adhesive tabs, nail glue, builder gel, etc) and 70% of it all comes down to the prep work. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions. I'm happy to help. 😊

Hey hon as a newbie to this acrylic powder and liquid bottle I have no clue what to buy as a beginner what would you suggest without investing a lot of money because I see you dipped the brush into a liquid and then into a powder could you please tell me what to buy sweetheart thank you Michelle

Hey love! 💕 I highly recommend using Young Nails as a beginner. They are high quality products that perform great. I originally started off using Kiss acrylics from Walmart and they did not last long doing this method and kinda turned me off acrylics altogether. I then tried Young Nails and literally fell in love with acrylics! I have all the products I used in this video linked in my description box. I'll also link them here to make your life easier. Another alternative is Mia Secret but I definitely prefer YN more. I hope this is helpful and let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help! 😊

Hey love! 💕 When applying press ons with acrylic, the best way to remove them is by soaking them off so that you don't damage your natural nails. Unfortunately, that means they can only be one time use. Hope this helps, thanks for watching 😊
