Thank you! *FINALLY* a human being with sense in her head. Instead of gettin rid of the cat cuz hes scratchin her son,she solves the problem a different way that still allows her to KEEP her cat. Thank u
a good tip is when playing with your cat or cuddling is pet and touch their paws so they dont always recognize you touching their paws as something thats going to bother them ( as in clipping or putting these on)
Hello! I have a small cat with VERY sharp claws, and we've been considering getting these. Would you recommend them? Are they Humane? Do they allow their claws to retract? Thank you!
I love them! The key is to get them used to you touching their paws without clipping or putting these on. My cats hate for me to touch their paws because I didn’t do it when they were young so I have to bring them to the vet to get these put on.
I wish someone would address putting these on a difficult cat ...all the demo cats are so calm & accepting - anyone can do it on a cat like that ...show us on a difficult cat
silver chick Honestly silver chick, if we have a truly fractious patient we sedate them lightly so that the process is as fast and stress free for them as possible. We have a few feral cats we see every few months for nail cap application which is performed under sedation. Almost all cats can be trained to accept nail trimming and nail cap application but it can take considerable time in training and treating at home. Jake is a very compliant patient, as is his nature. You are definitely correct that this one method does not work for all. I suggest you talk to you cat's veterinarian about safe, stress free handling and restraint training that you can practice at home. Best regards!
I just looked for these on Amazon. There are several different sizes available. What size would be good for a 3 year old standard sized (9-11 lbs) cat?
yes. if you speak with your vet, they will probably charge you that of a surgery procedure depending on your pets behavior. it will take about an hour if your pet has to be sedated.
@alteregobeaute These were invented by a vet. I took my cat to the vet today and she loves them, she just warned me to check that they fall off regularly. My cat doesn't mind, he sits in my lap to put them on.
you mean you inhumanely declawed your cat because you value your material possessions over your cats claws. claws have paws, dont like it dont get a cat
