Thank you so much for the information Dudu. God bless you. However, what's the ULN (Unique Learner Number) about? It's under the 'Education section' How does one generate it?
Hey dudu I wanted to ask , I'm in matric now , when do applications open there and when do they close also if I get accepted do I go next year if so when in the year
Hey Dudu I'm in grade 11 can I apply now or I have to wait until next year May/June.Do you have any scholarship recommendations which I can apply to.What school did you attend eg.IEB or CAPS I'm actually panicking.
Hey don’t panic 😅 If you’re only writing matric next year(2022) it means that you’re going to apply for September 2023 entry. Those applications open in May 2022 and close in January 2023. I went to school in Zimbabwe and did A Levels.
And presently I'm studying medicine in Nigeria but i don't know if i can do a transfer (from my present university to the UK and if possible what are the process?
Heyyy this is a process I’m not very familiar with but here is a link to a video that explains it very well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yc6pPhRLeLo.html
I wanted to ask, when it says qualification what does a south African Matric certificate result and can I use my first semester to also apply coze I did a one year course to try and bost my qualifications
Hey ✨ Yes you can use your matric but I’m not sure about your other qualification. There is a list of exam boards they accept and matric will be there. If your course qualification isn’t part of the list I think there might be an other option that will still allow you to add them.
Hello Dudu, it's great I found your channel when I want to start my UCAS application, I have few questions to ask, it may seem as though it's much but I gat no choice than to ask. * When I finished secondary school which people also refer to as high school, I only took the WAEC O level examination, I didn't write any IGCE or Cambridge A level examination because my high school doesn't take any A level exam. So my first question is that do UK universities accept this O level exam or do I need to start preparing for an A level exam? * Secondly, I've been admitted to a University here in my country Nigeria and I'm done with my First year but still waiting for my second semester result. Do UK universities accept this results since it's also an A level examination result? * When adding education to the UCAS application, should I add my high school education or the current uni or for the both and what qualifications am I to add for both * Lastly, for the reference, is it safe to use my high school teacher or I should use my uni lecturers? I hope my questions aren't too much but I hope I get a detailed explanation from so I won't get confused or do the wrong thing. Thanks as you do so
It is, but there are always a few universities open for applicants until a a few weeks before the start date. You would just have to do a bit more work cause you can’t use UCAS if you’re applying that late.
There are unfortunately not as many Scholarships for International students in the uk however, tuition fees for international students are not as much as they are in the US
Dudu can i talk with u in private im now her in england nothing i do i spend 1 year i have a complicated situation really i want to talk with u if u can
No you do not. You only pay the one amount and they(UCAS) will send the application to all the universities you don't directly deal with the universities yourself.
Hi great video, we can help international students with UK university applications. Our application services are normally free because we have service agreements with UK Universities and they are the ones that pay for our consultancy fees... We are also regulated UK Immigration Advisors which means that we are also Authorised to provide Immigration Advice.
I am so saddd. I didn't do my uni research early in time and really wanted to go in September since I'm finishing in June but the extended deadline for 2021 is tonight.
As an Zimbabwean studying in South Africa how different is the process regarding the fact that we only receive our final results after the 15th of January
Hey Dudu, thus was so helpful, thank you so much I have a question though, if I'm done with the application, already paid the 25pounds for up to 5 unis, do I wait for the acceptance letter to then apply for a scholarship and if so do I apply for a scholarship from the university I've been accepted into or from diff firms?! Please help! And I want to apply for Masters degree. I hope the video still applies
Great video! I have a question thought. Can UCAS also be used to apply to universities when you only want to do one semester abroad? And if that is the case how would you rank the importance of grades in that case (specifically in computer science)? Can mediocre grades be balanced out with somewhat relevant job experience? Anyway, greetings from Austria!
Hey! I need help 😭 I submitted my UCAS application and the universities have responded back that theyve recieved my application, they also provided a student ID and password for their portal, am I supposed to upload documents and such there or is my application already complete and will be processed without them?
@@Riffy-Beats Hi, i ended up uploading whatever documents i had i.e. transcripts, academic qualifications certificates, refrences etc and I've gotten an offer from two universities so far. I think you should upload them too just in case!
You don’t have to do A levels, they accept the final year exams for most countries as equivalent and give the option of a foundation if it’s lower than the A level standard.
Aunty, you are wonderful. Kudos to you. The sky is your limit. I'm from Nigeria. Please my daughter made these results : English language C4, Mathematics B2, Government B3, Biology B3, Animal Husbandry B2, Civic Education C5, Christian Religious Knowledge C4, Literature in English D7. Can these gain her undergraduate admission in UK. She want to study PSYCHOLOGY. Please, direct her well. I'm a widow and she is interested in furthering her education. Thanks
Most universities don’t accept WAEC/NECO for Year 1 entry but she can apply to start at foundation year(FY) level which still leads straight to the course. From a quick search I’ve done, she needs 5 credit passes or above for this so I recommend looking in this direction. I hope this helps.
Hy Dudu, I'm from Nigeria and going for the 2023 application. Currently in my final year study in a Nigerian university. Please I need you to put me though on how I can fill my education section
The love of my life, this beautiful angel oh which sky did you fall from because I am sure it's heaven you have a heart of gold oh actually it's a girl that saying this I really enjoyed this video and all I am asking for is your number and your account number so I can send a token of my appreciation
I really want to study there but do they use gpa or SAT because I am from South Africa and I don’t know anything about that and I am currently in grade 11 do I use this grade to apply
Hey, You don't have to write anything extra. Your matric results can be converted to the equivalent Cambridge points/symbols which you can then use to see where you fit. The only extra thing you may have to write is an English Language test. Hope you find this useful x
You can email the universities admissions directly. Note that your IELTS results are already anticipated to come later than the deadline so it wouldn’t jeopardize the success of your application.
You video was magnificently good and direct, I applied for UClan this month via Medical as a second degree for September this year, gotten an email from UClan via my application accepted and processing ongoing but I need to know how long does it take for me to get the Admission letter? Thanks dear.
Thank you very much 🙏🏾 And Congratulations on your acceptance 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies letters (CAS) normally start being issued 3 months before the start of your programme. Towards that date you will be emailed about any additional information (if any) required to issue the CAS. You just want to make sure that you your offer is now unconditional to avoid any delays. I'd advise emailing the University Admissions Team if you want to ask anything specific especially now since they don't have as much activity.
Hi Kwem.. it has been 8months post your comment and application process, did you succeed? When you say via medical you mean any course related to medicine? Which country did you apply from? I hope you will be able to answer to this..thank you hugely in advance.
Hi Dudu, I have another question please. Please I’ve received my Cas letter and I’m on the online visa application. I do not have an accommodation at the moment. What do I indicate in that section please? Kindly treat this as urgent please.
as an american do i need like perfect, straight A’s and like perfect scores to attend schools in the UK? i’m a very good student but i’m not like top 10 in my class.
i checked one of the largest uni’s in london and it seems you need to have a GPA of either 3.5 to 4.0 for some departments, and 3.7 to 4.0 in other departments. so it really varies. but i’m pretty sure not all universities in the UK require that high GPA scores. look up the specific UK university you want to go to and check the GPA requirements needed to enter. because it varies.
Hey✨ You would apply end of 2021 into 2022. Your Deadline would be 15 January 2022. AL results usually come out the week before the deadline so you can’t wait for them to start applying. You should do the application in November/ December or earlier so that when your results come you just put them in and send it.
They probably would if you had direct involvement, maybe volunteering or if you caught the virus, how you were able to overcome that challenge. Basically don't make yourself look like a victim , be the hero.
I would suggest that you add the details about your Covid experience that make you more attractive to the university. So if you didn’t catch it you could talk about how you spent that extra time learning new skills maybe, something that shows growth in you and that field you want to go to. Hope this helps x
Not really. Once you see the application you notice that it’s just mainly the Personal Statement that you need to focus on and there are quite a few resources to help you out with that. The top universities are quite competitive though so your grades matter quite a bit there and that’s where I’d say I felt a bit of pressure.
What if you are still undecided on what you want to study? I am from America and some universities offer programs for undecided students. Do you know if there anything like that within the UK system?
I can’t speak for all universities but Kings College London has a Liberal Arts degree that allows this type of flexibility and allows you to choose your major. There is only a certain number of modules you can choose along the way though so I recommend you check it out. Here’s the link to give you more information: www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/liberal-arts-ba I’m sure other universities in the UK also have this too. This is just an example
Hello Dudu, I’m from Nigeria currently applying to study in UK. Would like to ask how do I know if UCAS has submitted my request to the university and how do I make the £25 ? Pls I hope I get a reply from you as soon as possible.. I did fill out the UCAS not sure if it’s has been submitted already
When you complete all sections and go to submit, it’ll take you to a payment section that will allow you to choose a payment method/add card details and make the payment.
Not me finding this video when the deadline is the 29th of January💀. In my defense, I thought about studying in England and started taking the necessary steps last year, but then I got discouraged because I started thinking of how many people do not actually get to work in England even if they study there. Now, I am at my last year of high school and I have been thinking about my university and how I really do not see my future here, and then I found out that the deadline has been prolonged, so I saw it as a sign. Anyways, thank you so much for the video!💓💓
You’re most welcome x You still have a few more days you can do it! And the UK introduced a 2year post study VISA for international students so we have an extra 2years to find a job how exciting!
@@dudukineiloe Yes, that is amazing! I am almost done with my personal statement, so that’s good. But I still have a very big dilemma, cuz I currently live in Norway and I don’t know if a degree in the UK is “worth it”, specially with the Corona situation going on :(
Hi Dudu, my teacher said to me to leave the dates unvailable on blank until they phone her, but I'm not sure if leaving a piece on blank will allow you to apply to the 5 universities. Also, I did 3375 appr. on my personal statement, butt still says I need 4000 words to complete it, but I already did 47 lines. What can I do? How do I know that I applied for the five universities?
Hello Nice video. it was very helpful. But I still have some questions This year I'll start 12th grade and I'm gonna study in UK. Do I need A level exams for applying to universities in UK? And how many subjects do I need to get good marks for applying for a university?
After we submit the UCAS application, we will get any mail from the "university" after 2 weeks like, "Account created, Application submitted"? I submitted my UCAS application 2 weeks before, yesterday I got a mail from the university that, my account is created and the application was submitted. Is it like this? My agent has actually submitted all the things.
Its kind of difficult compare to other institutions in the US but it's definitely worth so thanks for the clarification. Well my questions are relating to choice section, can i chose a specific program for multiple universities cuz i tried that and its not working, i applied for medicine (MBBS) at Birmingham university but the option is not available for other universities.
The degree may slightly differ at each university and also have a different name. You’d have to check in the list of the programs to see which one best matches yours. Hope you find this helpful ✨
UCAS is just a platform to do the application and send it; it has no place to apply for scholarships. You would have to go to the universities websites to do so.
Hi guys. I am a rising senior from Mongolia. Is it possible for me to apply to UK universities with solely a sat n IELTS score? I have a 4.0 GPA though and I have not settled on my major choice yet and I am not so confident that I'll be able to make a decision on it by the time I should be applying. So, I've been searching for universities with liberal arts programs but sadly I haven't found a convincing one. If there's anyone who's been accepted to any university in the UK with only a sat and IELTS score. Please reply to this comment, any shared experience is very much appreciated. And also, if someone has studied or currently studying in a liberal arts program at a UK university, please do reply too. Thanks, Thanks Thanks
Hello! I can ask what tests are needed to take to apply to the universities? And do you need alot of academic accomplishments to appeal to the universties your applying?
Hie, There is no specific test most exams that are taken at the end of high school are accepted. You may just need to write and English test but that’s not what gets you a place. The more accomplishments you have, the more chances you have if getting in but there are a lot of universities so you will always find one for you.
Hi Dudu, I would like to ask you some questions on the CAS letter. I’ve sent in my cas application and declaration forms to the school awaiting my CAS letter but no feedback now. I’m very worried as time is going cos my course starts this September 2022
@@richmondarhin7955hey, i’m here studying in US and i wish to apply for my brother to UK unis but idk what the general procedure is, could you outline for me what you did up until you got your offer letter? Thats all I need to know to get started. Thank you!
I’m from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 Accommodation ranges from about £150 to £600 per week depending on the city and type of accommodation (en-suite , non en-suite, studio apartments, etc)
Great video! but I do have Just 2 questions : Do the references have to be teachers? Can it be like coworkers or such? Because my highschool is 100% online and I mean my teachers basically have no clue who I am and the same would be said vice versa. I could try getting the principal ( if there even is one ) or my success coach to write the reference but I highly doubt they would/ do a good job because the same situation applies. :( And how would scholarships work? Does UCAS have scholarship programs?
It is usually recommended that if you're in school, you ask an employee of the school that knows you well academically however its not a must. You should not, however, ask friends, family or anyone you have that close relations to because they might be very biased and that can lead to your application being discarded. Here's something that can help: www.ucas.com/undergraduate/applying-university/how-get-ucas-undergraduate-reference
Hi dear I need your guide to apply a school in UK I wan to come there and complete my level 5 in charterd institute of procurement and supply operation
Hi Dudu I am very confused I am currently doing grade 12 and I was introduced to ucas last year by a friend but the problem is doing my application is a bit hard especially the education part I started filling in my information I don’t know what to fill in in the education part and I am from South Africa and am really confused
Hey✨ Search up the matric examining board in the list and you should find it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how SA exams before your final exams. Heres a link that shows the SA exam mark conversions to A Level. It also has a lot of information about qualifications that I think will be helpful. www.ucas.com/sites/default/files/2015-international-qualifications.pdf Also, don't be worried if you haven't done your exams just do the rest of the application a put pending for the results.
Hey I’m not sure what the options are but you’d fall under Africa/ non European or UK citizen / International student something along those lines If there’s other and you don’t fall into all the other categories then go for other
Yes This year in particular the deadline is not until 29 January so you still have a couple of days. But usually they stay it you apply soon after the deadline they could still consider your applications. It’s a bit risky but you can and they can always put your application through the clearing system that will still get you a place but only after results day when universities are looking for students
How did u get to study in the UK bec I see your from zim. I'm also from zim but I've gone to school in south Africa since grade R, I'm going to be in grade 9 next year and I wanna study psychology so I'm just doing research on universities and wondering if u got a scholarship, if ur parents are the one paying ect. Pls help me🥺💕
Hey Nancy x My parents are paying my fees but there are scholarships! I was late to apply so I didn't get any :( Its good that you're doing research early cause you can find unis that give the best scholarships and apply in time. It's really good that you already know what you want to do! You can start to explore that by perhaps attending different workshops about it, conducting surveys and writing things to do with Psychology. It will really help you when you are applying to uni and for the scholarships. Hope this helps x If you have specific questions don't hesitate to ask.
@@dudukineiloe when exactly do is the right time to apply for scholarship? Like when are the likely deadlines and how can one apply on time considering applying through ucas since it's to wait for admission letter?
As soon as you get your offers you can start applying. Check with the universities that you chose what scholarships they have and their deadlines. It is usually there on their website. I know my uni had deadlines from end of May, end of June all the way up to October cause different scholarships have different deadlines. It’s good you’re looking out for this now. The university websites are your best bet
Hello,ma'am. I'm applying for UCAS 2023 entry for medicine. Can I use my CIAE awaiting result for Oct/Nov 2022 whose result will be released by January ?
Hi I am an International student, can we still apply forUCAS Application for 2021 entry, the last date is 15th of October by google. Please Help me in this
Unfortunately, for 2021 entry the UCAS deadline passed. However, some universities will still accept direct applications to them. But seeing as that it is September and most universities start this month or beginning of next, chances a lower and so I recommend that you call universities that you are interested in, directly to find out if they can offer you a place.
What if I finish my Matric 11 years ago, do I need to go to my teachers for reference? And if I have studied and dropped out but finished my first year?
Hie✨ I’m not quite sure about this but there are different requirements for Mature students such as yourself because they do understand that you may also have gained real life experience and will use that as well to qualify you. Here is a link to a page that I think will be of help: www.ucas.com/undergraduate/student-life/mature-students/mature-students-your-qualifications
Hi Iam from india. At present iam an mba student doing my 3 rd sem right now. Should i start application process for msc in uk now? Because if they ask my mark sheet to upload or they ask my mark i have marks in mba for one sem. So..should i don my application now or after completing my mba. P.S i planned for sep intake 2022.
Hey, you should apply now. The UK has a system where they can look at your previous grades and your predicted final grade and use it to give you a conditional offer. Once you write/get your final results you can then send them(which will be much later). So just apply looking at when you want to start
Hey✨ Yes they do. They want the highest level of your secondary school education. Here's more Information about requirements: www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/international/nigeria
My pleasure x I did Cambridge L6 English Language so I didn’t have to. But it’s different for every university. They just let you know when they give you an offer what English qualifications they accept.
