I had very good results with the penetrating epoxy, but I'm having a terrible time with the gleam. The first coat was OK, but the second and third coats caused a checkerboard look with raised surfaces all over the 3 pieces I applied it to. I waited a week for the epoxy to cure, waited 2 or more hours for previous layers of gleam to dry and lose tackiness. Did I apply the layers too thick? Should I let the layers dry longer?
