i am a government teacher. i want to attend a conference in USA. Do i need a letter from education department . education department will ask me to show the US visa . without US visa how can i get a letter. NOC (no objection certificate) is given after getting visa. so please guide me
@GatewayToLearnTogether
@GatewayToLearnTogether Месяц назад
In this case ; first let it be clear what is the conference. have you already applied on the conference? or the xyz conference organiser in US has already issued your invitation letter as a conference attendee. if yes, just show that email/conference invitation to your department to get the NOC so that you can apply for US visa.

Before getting visa We should buy ticket ?
@GatewayToLearnTogether
@GatewayToLearnTogether Месяц назад
No you should not buy tickets it doesn't guarantee a visa. however you should have a prep planning and intended dates like when you're departing or arriving in the USA.

@GatewayToLearnTogether
@GatewayToLearnTogether Месяц назад
You will mention married in your ds160 form if officially and legally your documents states you're married for example your national identity card number & your marriage is registered. so pls put married.

Pardon?! US visa application is easiest to fill. The DS form only includes short box answers or check yes/no and even they don't ask for documents to attach in their electronic application. :) if you're still confused let us know how we can help you briefly?

I recently came back from the US after finishing my Masters on student visa and worked for a year and I do have a social security number but it was only because I needed it for paying taxes while I was working abroad. Since I'm back in my home country and applying for a visitors visa for tourism purposes, do I need to put my social security number in? Or just my national identification number for my country? Please help

Hello Dear Before answering your question, here are a few basic clarifications: each visa type has different requirements. In your case, you mentioned you had a J1/F1 (Student) Visa and worked in the U.S. If this was allowed by your visa or university, it's okay. You also mentioned having a Social Security Number (SSN). Here are some scenarios regarding your visitor visa application and SSN: 1. For a visitor visa, an SSN is not required and does not affect your application. You can skip it. 2. If you include your SSN, the embassy might review your travel history. If your previous student visa did not allow work, having an SSN could raise questions. 3. When asked about your travel history, mention that you studied in the U.S. on a student visa. Completing your studies and returning home is a positive point. 4. I suggest skipping the SSN in your visitor visa application and focusing on your purpose of visit. 5. Keep your travel history straightforward. Mention your stay as a student on a J1/F1 visa without discussing work unless it was legally allowed. 6. Remember, a U.S. visitor visa does not permit working in the U.S. Best regards

@@GatewayToLearnTogether Thanks so much . Yes my work history was legally allowed. I have my employment authorization card.

@@yvethedefinitionthen you can put SS number. As things are very clear & legal in your case. But I'm wondering if you should try work visa. I understand that you need a work visa sponsor I hope you might have already built a few connections while working in the US. However, best of luck for your tourism purpose. 😊

@@GatewayToLearnTogether The company did apply for the h1b work visa for me, but unfortunately I wasn't selected in the h1b lottery. So next year, I will have to try again.

@@rubydelosreyes-cq6qj Yes, we are providing a few strong scenarios for you to consider during your application process and to defend during the interview: Scenario 1: Your boyfriend is inviting you, but this can be seen as a weak reason and may raise suspicions of a fake marriage. Embassies might doubt whether he can cover your expenses in the US. Since you are in an open relationship and can't provide legal proof of your status, this scenario can be problematic. Scenario 2: Ask your boyfriend to send an informal invitation as a friend, booking your accommodation, round-trip tickets, and other expenses for a 2-4 week stay. On the application, indicate "other person" as the sponsor. During the interview, show your round-trip tickets and hotel reservation, emphasizing your tourism purposes and organized plans without repeatedly mentioning "boyfriend." Scenario 3: Have your boyfriend help you attend a conference, business forum, or seminar in the US. He should cover your round-trip tickets and accommodation. Ensure the conference issues a letter of invitation for you. You can self-fund the rest or reimburse your boyfriend, but it's important to have everything organized before the interview.
