How to approach a young Christian woman in church 

There’s a female from my church that absolutely blew me away. I thought she was literally an Angel. I barely started going to that church because I was feeling broken, and they invited me to the young adults fellowship. I attended, and when it came time where people were able to socialize, I put myself in the corner of the chapel sitting alone and this beautiful woman approached me and talked to me. I instantly felt my spirits lifted, because I felt the spirit in her. I told her literally that I didn’t think that she was real, no way she is talking to me right now because I never heard of someone in my age group speak so powerfully and personal about God the way she did, because I was only used to other people who weren’t close to God. She was amused by my comment and we went on to have an amazing conversation. She’ll come speak to me every week on her own and we have a blast chatting it up. I want to ask her out for coffee some time. I truly feel in my heart that she’d make a great companion/spouse. I pray that God may guide me. I would appreciate prayers from others as well 😁

And ladies - if you're turning someone down, be honest (but kind!). If you say "I'm really busy right now" when you really mean "No", some of us guys will take that at face value and ask again a few weeks later to see if you're less busy!

When a girl says no to me, I lose all hope and stop pursuing her. Assuming she's playing hard to get can waste a lot of time. I never asked twice , once you say no that's it for me keep that same energy rejections sucks

The one thing that i always struggle with is feeling its okay to chat with a girl without telling her my motives. Like being fri nds to start when i desire marraige someday then it feels like i am misleading or using women just to see what they are like.

I was a bridesmaids and he was the groomsmen at his brothers wedding.First time we met the groomsmen they took out alcohol and a hookah despite being Christian men in the same church (we were practicing the bridal step).I have never given a man my number they usually obtain them through these ‘Group chats’ he texted me 2 days after the wedding. I guess he observed me well enough to know that I don’t like being touched that’s why when taking photos asked if “ I don’t know if I am allowed to touch you” then when texting he said, “ I don’t know if I am allowed to text you but if you don’t want to keep contact I will understand” he suggested a movie to me before asking the others.Basically I am not interested handsome young man, but no. I use to be awkward around mean, could not hold a conversation, if they were shirtless I would blush or cover my eyes like a dork. Women should approach men i think that works for borh sides And what your supposed to do if you get rejected by one girl in the church obviously you have to talk to someone else or how you going to find someone to be with

As for me, I just have a strong conviction that I marry a lady who is a pastor. The conviction is stired up in my heart. I even take time to study to try to understand their lifestyle. I am just a regular christian no connection even to such people but the burning desire is too much.

So the only tip here is "observe"... well, In big churches with many services or in conferences chances are you won't see that girl again so you must take action, go and start a conversation! you can "observe" while you're talking and see if you're compatible or not, you don't really have to tell her you like her, guess what, she already knows that. So don't be intense but also don't "observe" during years without taking action, and never ever listen to what girls advise, they don't really know what they want

This girl is visibly shy with leg shaking and even covering her face and doesn't talk much to me but holds direct eye contact to the point her eyes just lock with mine when I do get a chance to talk to her; I don't have a frame of reference for how she holds eye contact with others I guess. I asked her dad if I can ask her out on a date, and he said I have to ask her (so, at least, he didn't say I couldn't) and he said to ask when I feel lead. ...I've been too nervous to talk to her much. Well, in the past, she's visibly run away from me, too, so I backed off then, but it was only recently she seemed to want to join in a conversation with me, so, I took that as that she at least stopped feeling pressure from me. It's been half a year since I've attended her church (I'm a member there.). Should I try to talk to her more to get any real conversation going before I ask her out on a date or ask her out on a date nonchalantly to get that conversation going? I know it's a huge risk, and I'm weighing if she's the one I should really pursue. I do love talking to her dad and miss family, since I don't have much left or not a great connection with them (mom passed; dad is just getting older, you know. He retired.), so that is a motivator that I do enjoy talking to her dad and also mom. ...I did think one avenue to win her heart was through her parents. Perhaps if she sees her dad likes me, that will make her more open to talking to me. I've shown up to a lot of the various church meetings. She knows I came to her church because she's there because actually I met her at a coffee shop before I actually went to her church. Lol. But I'm not a creepy guy that is desperate like I'm not going to back off (as I did) if she rejects me. It's just I can't tell if her shyness might be because she likes me back or I make her anxious because when you know you're liked, it makes you feel like an object, which isn't a good feeling, if the one liking you is doing it for themselves. I cooked for them once, too, brought various supplies to church that had been needed, so I show I am sacrificing my time and resources for the church; I've made connections with the church other than just her parents. I enjoyed chatting with her mom too. Last thing I meant to mention was I have observed the girl "mirror" me in just subtle ways, like through speech, like if I had said one certain thing, she will say that one certain thing after, like she's very aware of my presence... I figured if I so creeped her out, she would hate to repeat what I just said, and the pastor would have told me to back off by now and the father would have just told me she doesn't like me already. Lol. I just want to know if her shyness is because she likes me back or if I simply need to work on talking to her more before I try asking her out on a date... orrr, I'll simply try having a real conversation with her the next chance I get (she gives me a chance right after the service because she'll often sit alone, on the other side from where her parents sit, because she sings at the beginning, so it's easier for her to sit there). Again, only recently did I pick up the pursuit again when she seemed to want to talk to me and some other little signs like she wasn't deathly scared of me. Lol. And since I have her father's permission to simply ask her out on a date (not expecting anything more; it's her right if she rejects me, and I know not to assume like a naive guy that if she accepts one date then that means "Oh, we're 'together' now.); I figured, also, maybe she wanted to talk to me because she felt guilty that she visibly ran from me before. Who knows. ---I'll try having a real conversation with her now that I simply have her father's approval, and I'll be more willing to really talk to her, as before I was trepid of what her father and pastor thinks, me coming up in their church talking to this girl, so I was really hesitant. Whether I should or shouldn't be I don't know. As you guys alluded to, talking to a girl in church isn't like picking up a girl in the street. You have all her family and friends and overseers around. It's much more of a safe environment for her, while for the guy, it's ten or a hundred times harder to talk to her. Again, I was able to cold approach her at the coffee shop when I did first meet her (Lol), but definitely not so easily in church! Because of course I was trepidatious over being reprimanded... but as it stands right now, her father knows my intentions and hasn't told me to back off yet, and otherwise I'll just continue trying to talk to her 'when I can,' but trust me, I don't beeline it for her every opportunity I see her or anything (and again, I showed or at least feigned indifference many times). what if alot of guys talk to her and so that turns you off as a man and you want to approach another person who's attractive but doesn't get a whole lot attention? Is it ok to approach a different women?

Damn this one is hard because I have seen a beautiful girl at church man and something In me is prompting me to get her number to get to know her better but I just don’t want I operate out of the spirt of lust .. but I just don’t know why I am having these feelings towards her like this like really strong feelings like I want to marry this person , we speak here and there but I wanna get to know her more man but I just don’t want it be the spirit of lust I want it to be ordained by God.

Ive gave up on asking women or trying to date. Its so much easier for woman because they'll always have options. For men you have to be a certain height, look a certain way, etc etc. Ive been turned down so many times I dont even care to approach women anymore because they have to many expectations. It just takes to much energy and time wasted

I saw a sister some time ago at a conference where I suddenly interested. the pity is that she is in a church in another city where i only go when there is a church activity i pray for this every day unfortunately i haven't really had a good conversation with her yet because im like to take it easy and want to observe the situation. how can i handle this situation because she is in a church in another city and we usually visit this church every 4/5 months what is your advice?

This is so cringe. People wanting to hook up but you have to get married first but you don't want to talk to each other because you might get turned on and you're afraid of temptation. So if someone turns you on you just reject it automatically because you think you're being tempted ,so you gonna marry someone who you aren't attracted to? You can't expect women to approach you, but if the women in the environment all think that any attractive behavior is "playboy" behavior then of course your only going to meet dorks.

Don't. You aren't there for that. If you are spending a lot of time outside church with her such as youth groups or just get togethers among members of the church then that's when you approach her. Frankly I'm not sure men should be the ones doing the approaching since Paul said young men should not seek a wife.
