Secret to asking a really good quality questions 1. Pre-supposition: a linguistic assumption that helps someone move forward. Ex: Without pre-supposition: Can you do that With pre-supposition: How can you do that? Without: Is this working? With: How is this working for you How can we turn this around? What would be a great outcome in this situation? What is the one thing that we can do right now to make a big difference? There is a pre-supposition or a linguistic assumption in these questions that assumes that there is a solution, that we can move forward, that we can make progress.
So my question now is 1. How is it possible that many differential equations are solved using Laplace transforms than just using each of the techniques there is for each type of differential equations? What made it possible? 2. Are there differential equations that are better solved using a technique other than the laplace transform? What are those? 3. What are the other methods used for solving the inverse of a laplace transform? These are questions I wish i could have asked during our class. Instead, i shut quite and didn't talk. Huhu. With pertaining to life, i want to ask... Where will this journey of life take us?
Hi Colin I am very verbal and am trying to turn this around by asking better questions, I am thinking that in discussion with others (discussing a particular topic) it may be good, to begin with, I assume you agree that... would this be a good approach, or is it to clsoed (pardon the pun)?
Imagine How good you'll feel when you finally got over that issue. imagine how quickly that issue becomes a thing of the past 😂.. just practicing my own pattern..it works for persuasion
It would be good if you talk more about mental illness. That's the major social issues we are going through. Everyone is talking about good...be it a leader..or to influence people with talks.. there is more than that this generation needs.
I ask if there’s any new information that would change your opinion. If they say “no”, they’ve discredited themselves. If they say, “yes”, drill down - ask what information / evidence. Then confront the person with exactly the evidence they claimed would change their mind. Then enjoy the show as they rationalize their way out of the corner they were just painted into.
🎉A linguistic assumption seems like a special condition that usually affects you and your company in a negative way that forces you to quickly ask yourself the question of how and why it is affecting you. Your own internal or collective conditions are the main parts of that linguistic assumption and much better if those special conditions lead you to a superior model, so your class on how to ask good questions was masterful.
