Thank you! I took apart my 4x4 on purpose a few weeks ago because I wanted to lube it and thought it would be similar to a 3x3 in assembly. Imagine my surprise when the cube started falling apart into what seemed like a thousand pieces. Saw a complicated tutorial and tried many times with no luck. I had practically given up and then a few days I found this video. I was really about to go and buy a new one instead. Again, thanks!🙏

OMG! I frikking did it! Used a lot of masking tape and tweezers helped with the last edge pieces but its done! Note to self, must buy magnetic cube when this one finally dies. Thanks for the tutorial.

Before watching this video, I assembled a 4x4x4 YJ cube with almost the same structure. It was simply assembled from the bottom layer, and the magnetic force at the corners and edges was sufficient to help, so there was no need for taping. This video is very helpful for the steps to slide the internal pieces in from the side. thank you.

Thanks for the video. I recently got a 4 x 4 and after i spent 5 hours wrapping my head around how to solve it my cube got bound up and popped when I was mixing it up to start solving it again. Doing this on a non magnetic cube is a ROYAL PAIN but I managed to get it together again thanks to this vid. Now I know one of the advantages of having a magnetic cube lol

my cube had a bigger white side center piece so i was "missing" 2 of the small brackets. I wasn't really missing them, the cube has 2 'in-built' brackets on that side so you only have to use two small brackets. Hope this helps someone out! :) Great video btw, perfect explanation with good editing and no crazy over the top music or anything. keep it up.

I used this tutorial to reassemble my MoYu Meilong 4x4 M after a piece popped and I tried to fix it on my own and then literally everything fell apart. For the white and yellow sides, I found it easier to take out the last corner next to your last edge and insert that after inserting the edge. You can do this if you want to.

I LITERALLY SPENT ANOTHER HOUR ON IT AND HOW DID YOU NOT MAKE THE BRACKET FALL ON THE FIRST LAYER. I LITERALLY SPENT ANOTHER HOUR TRYING TO AT LEAST PUT A BRACKET IN IT. i started at 12am and now its 1am. when i put the bracket it keeps falling

You should do a tutorial on the minx category. It’s overlooked and I think it needs to be covered compared to the 2x2 and up, which is more common to come across. Just a recommendation, love your vids :)

I’m two months late but its a lot harder because in odd cubes the middle layers act as a kind of core and supports the whole thing, but in pair cubes theres no middle layer so they need an intern core, which needs to have a lot pieces to move properly

tip for anyone struggling with the last 2 edge pieces: I found it easier to put the large edge bracket in first, then doing the edges one at a time after

Tips for non magnetic 4×4: during the last layer (white and yellow) for the very last edges and centers like shown at 6:23 rather than inserting the center piece first, then the small bumper, then 2 edge with the big bumper, i find it alot easier to put in the big bumper alone, then put the small bumper in-between the core and the big bumper, there the two bumper will support each other just enough for you to brute force the center and the edges in.

My sister found that it’s easier if you put the big bracket and the 2 edges in, then you put the centers in (put them in the same way you do if a center piece pops out)

Some cubes (especially the WuHua (V2) and WuJi) have fragile plastic, so you have to take out edges first or else you’ll snap the center piece. Or at least take out the outer most center corner and still pull apart the edges for more room when an edge center pops out
