Thank you very much. I have been looking for simple instructions like this and kept finding unclear instructions all over. Now my wall clock is on and working fine.
Thank you 😊 I have a record store and I like using my old non collectible ones for Art/ crafts. I've just painted an album and placing on a wood back base and installing clock kit. Excited to finish and see how it comes along. ☮🍀😊
My Brother, u r Awesome! Thank you very much. You were very clear, just the right pace so I could work along with you, and very understandable. As a crafty woman, I was so excited to see the clock actually work. Thanks again & Peace.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I have been looking for simple instructions and kept finding unclear instructions that are elongated. Thanks for making this video!!!!!
My new movement looses 5 to 6 minutes an hour. Do he weight of the hands like 6" operate the same as the 3 " hands. Is there an adjustment to be made to have the new movement keep the correct time?
I have 2 records of the same artist and album which is pat boone's gospel collection and one of the copies is on a frame for record albums. I think I may take that one and make a clock out of it using the record and the kit. Where do I get the numbers to put on the records?
I want to put a mechanism on a wall with no "face" and use long (30cm) hands with a stripe painted on the wall to represent 12,3,6 and 9. Do I need the rubber washer? Can someone recommend a mechanism Mfgr who will work well with this? I CAN HAND CRAFT THE HANDS TO ACCOMDATE WEIGHT AND THICKNESS
Cincinnati Clad King he means the height of the spindle. In my very short experience with these things the biggest problem is finding the right height of spindle to use with the object that you're trying to put together. So another words a record is fairly thin, so what size did you buy for that material? I have a three-quarter inch piece of wood and I tried to buy the three quarter inch hi spindle motor, but it doesn't stick out enough. How much should the spindle stick out of the object that you're trying to put the hands on?
I thank you for this wonderful video, However, I do need your help. I have now struggled to put together 5 mini quartz movements. Struggle? Yes! The hands are soooooo blessed hard to get on! They must be pressed down to the proper place on the shaft and fit snugly. But my mechanisms require a GREAT DEAL OF FORCE to get them on properly. Yet, you barely used any force at all. What could I be doing wrong? If I do not click them on, the hands do not work. But I have lost my religion, if you know what I mean, trying to get them placed properly.
May be the thickness of your clock surface is more than this record thingy... I have the same problem so I had to engrave the surface to make a provision for the machine to fit in. Pretty hectic but it worked
