Hey guys,
In this video I wanted to do a quick how-to on assembling your cover. This was from the Marine Shop and will come like this if ordered, so in case you were initially confused (as I was) here's how to get it done!

Where’s the part where you lose your shit and throw it across the room? That was my favorite part of this whole thing. Thanks for being out there brother. Semper Fi

Is this REALLY an issue? Are there ACTUALLY Marines who can't do this? Or is the basic officer's cover frame different from the enlisted cover frame?

I was a prior enlisted Marine, I am 24 years old. I recently got out of active duty Marine Corps about a year in a half ago, I was station out 21 area Camp Pendleton, CA, CLR1 1stMLG 1MEF. And I’ve been going to school ever since I got out, thinking about doing OCS. Advice for prior enlisted guy?

Rah marine. I think the officer track is a great option, not only for career advancement but for the responsibility and opportunity to guide and mentor young marines and make decisions that no early to mid 20s person would ever be trusted to make in the civilian world. This in mind, if you’re a prior you certainly know the culture and the lifestyle, so if it’s what you want, then go for it. The selection process, and OCS afterwards, are challenging but very doable (especially for priors), plus you’ll have that added respect as a prior enlisted officer should you choose to come back and go down that route. Not sure if this is much in terms of advice, but I certainly hope it helps

Hey man - not yet, I’m commissioning later this month as I just finished college. From there I’ll go to TBS in October then I’ll be assigned my duty station upon completion!

The FIRST thing I did before leaving PI was to buy a REAL cover. Those cotton pieces of junk they issue in basic are the worst. Lol!

Hey Lt. I need some advice , I am currently 24 years old, I have my bachelors. I am Conflicted on if I want to go to graduate school and get my masters while going the plc route . So that when I join I could potential get another masters or phd. Vs just taking the asvab and going the occ route in which it would possibly take me 5-6 years to obtain my masters. any insight ?

Hi there - sorry for the late reply. So, I don’t believe you can do PLC while I’m grad school (to my knowledge). I think once you have completed your bachelors degree you can only choose to go the OCC route. That being said, you can always do OCC and use your GI bill for a masters/mba afterwards then also be eligible for a free masters/phd at a state school (I know at least in CT if you have a DD214 you’re eligible for a free masters/PHD at any state school). Hope this helps
