New Bed delivered today and all worked fine; in the evening I opened the slatted frame with gas pressure damper and I can't push the slatted frame down. First I go mad, because the bed was new and so I didn't want to force the slatted frame down, So I searched in RU-vid and found your Tutorial. - Seconds later it was possible to push down the slatted frame. THANX for this great help - IT REALLY WORKS!!!!

my boyfriend was insistent while building my ottoman that it was broken and it wouldn’t work because the pistons weren’t going down. he said it was because i stored the boxes for the bed away for so long (5 months). watched this video, pulled the mattress onto the frame and it goes down. this video is brilliant. short and simple.

Lol thank you so much for this. Spent 9 hours assembling the bed then the lever wouldn’t go down so we assumed the bed was faulty and dissembled everything. Had to build back up the old bed. Watching this video 2 weeks later with the bed all packed up in the shed🤣

Thanks a lot mate. Very helpful video! Bloody nightmare. Easier with the mattress on like you said. We found it easier well using the tassle that you pull the bed down with both hands. Maybe some DW40 would improve the pistons movement? 🤔😊 Cheers again 👍

Your pistons struts are on upside down, black bit should be at the bottom, makes a difference if you change them round

Thank you for your video. I removed my mattress, lifted my bed up, tightened some loose screws, cleaned the bed..then the thing happened, the bed was not going down. I went far, I removed the piston and was about to hammer it as I thought it was stuck. Just then.. your video saved my bed.. 😄😄👍👍

FYI with my ottoman bed’s instructions I read that you are not supposed to lift that bit up without a mattress on.. so i think that could also play with the issue. Make sure you have a mattress on before trying to lift it up and then put it back down

I have the same issue tried your method and now the wood broke this bed has caused me so much issues. They have sent spare parts and all. The problem was it came down and was not staying down it lifted on its own.

I just got a storage bed and it came with a wooden board, do I put the wooden board as a surface below for the storage space or put it in between my mattress and the deck?

Saved my life works wonders Actually you don’t need a mattress for this. Just push on there the hydraulic strut is connected once it goes down fully then it will be fine for the next time. Thanks though

I've got new ottoman bed but bar in the middle of the bed you can see in the video as well is missing what's its called how can I buy it.
