The best place to start is to rule out the inner ear with caloric and VNG with an ENT or audiologist.
After that, we can use visual motion tests to asses for visual sensitivity problems. We can also do physical exams of the eyes to look for optometric problems.
We also have tools now that help us understand the functionality of the neck to identify cervicogenic dizziness.
Not only do these tests tell us about the health of each system, it allows us to direct effective therapies to help dizzy patients feel better.
