Hi Eleanor! Thank you so very much for this really useful video! I have followed it and attached the scalp/dome with success. However there is a 1mm gap between the scalp and faceplate once the doll is together, and I'm not sure how to glue this effectively in place. I'm wondering if I should place a small amount of glue inside using a pin, and then elastic bands to hold the head in place? I"m not sure however where to position the elastic bands or whether I will damage the hair or faceplate? If you have time to advise i'd be most grateful! Thank you!! Vikki
If the flanges of the scalp are pulled too tight through the dome, sometimes it makes the edge rise up at an angle, leaving a gap. Is that what’s happened? If so just tease it back out of the dome and pop in back in so it’s flush but not so tight it pulls the edge upwards 😊 If that’s not what’s happened, you can glue in in but usually you would tie up the hair and then place the elastic bands (I prefer hair ties because they don’t catch the hair as much) around the head.
