I'll show you how to attach the landing gear and tail wheel in this episode. Also, a special bonus, I ordered the extra set of wheel pants from @MotionRC and there was a pleasant surprise of an extra spare piece I was not expecting. Check out the end of the video to see what it was!
About the real NR61Y:
"The gear was attached at the wing root area, projecting outward at an angle of 10 degrees to prevent them from buckling inward. The gear struts were attached to the wheel axle on the inside of the wheel so that the wheels and covering were parallel to the vertical plane or Z-axis. These factors allowed for an enhanced performance in crosswind landings. Goodrich low-pressure tired provided shock absorption." - page 29 - Wedell-Williams Air Service
About NR536V (#92 Miss New Orleans)
No. 92 would also be a Model 44 with outward appearance very similar to NR-278V. However, the landing gear legs extended from the wings in almost a straight line while No. 44 angled out a bit.

Hello… just purchased the model and will be delivered tomorrow. I am curious how you attached the wheel pants to the struts. Did you use screws like the other parts? Any chance to see a photo? Also, what size prop did you use? Thank you!

I used the same small screws that I used for the "shoulders" near the fuse. I didn't try something fancier as I have a few pairs of replacement pants and I wanted to be able to change them out without having to deal with glue. I'll post a closeup pic later. Thanks for asking! Enjoy the plane! Let me know how it goes!

@@djmoosecom Thanks for the reply. I purchased the same motor as you and was curious what your final battery configuration was? Did you have to add weight to the nose? Als, what size prop did you end up using? I was thinking a 22 X 10 or 12, Xoar. Thanks!

Did you go with the stock wheels?

So far, yes. But I did just order a pair of 5" Du-Bro inflatables...will see how they fit/work out.

@@djmoosecom Thanks. I ordered the 5" Du-Bro regulars, not inflatables. Flying mostly off grass, so I think I should be OK
